LCFC 0-2 Fulham, post match thread

Just watched the highlights. Like watching a children's team defend Attacks are awful. Usually 2 attackers v 5 defenders. So little pace in this team. So little desire to be winners. -
Under Cooper, we got battered by Ipswich and Southampton till both of then hit the self destruct button. Bournemouth missed about 3 sitters and Mads made some great saves. We pinched a point v Brighton under Ruud. Not sure what to make of it all to be honest It's bad isn't it
-
Tough to tell. Given the same squad, just as bad. He likely contributes to a higher quality of player coming in. Can't shake the idea that he would have signed casadei though.
-
We did beat QPR 6 2 right? I'm not imagining that?
-
At this point, Castagne might as well make it 3
-
Realistically 6 defeats was understandable. To not pick up 1 point from the previous 2 would be criminal. Regardless of our quality available, that's not acceptable. Rudkin needs to go before Ruud though. Nothing will get fixed churning through bitter manager

Tbf I'd probably prefer 1am to 3am. Out on the lash friday night, then onto the coach for a solid 5/6 hour kip

So good result and everything is chill?

We went on a 16 game streak without a win in 01-02 this included a 6 game losing streak. Not sure if we've had one since. -
They can offer contracts as long as they want, but the amortisation period for the transfer fee would be limited to a max of 5 years I think. So if they signed a player for 100 million. Instead of making it 10m a season on the accounts by offering an 10 year contract. They would have to put it down as 20m a season for 5 years. But the player could still have a 10 year contract if they want. That was my understanding anyway, I'm sure someone will correct me very soon if I'm wrong

Imagine it's gone something like "They're paying him how much? Look I know it's your job to get him the best deal possible, but there's no way anyone is stupid enough to pay him 4x the going rate for a player of his ability" Where's Peter Taylor when you need him?

Played a blinder if you ask me
-
Good lord I wish our long standing striker had the stones to say this stuff
-
We've got 2 centre backs in Coady and Vestergaard that are good at passing the ball but terrible at defending.
-
It was a recruitment company we used to hire Glover as well wasn't it?
-
He's a decent player but very limited and also lacks any semblance tempo. He wants to do everything at a snails pace. Still remember him killing many potential counter attacks last season because he didn't have the awareness to grab the ball quickly for a throw in and look for runners. Just basics that i'd expect from anyone with half a footballing brain. Strikes me as another that was probably an exciting player in his youth but had it coached out of him.

Just watching 2nd half highlights. That lay off to Soumare is criminally bad I'd expect a semi pro player to be able to lay that off without it bobbling.

Comparing this season to 2014/15 Great Escape

The major difference was a change to a back 3/5 whatever you want to call it. Performances started improving and we looked better. We either need to sign quality that will make the most of Ruud's tactics, or he's going to have to make an adaption to get the best out of the current squad. Whatever that is, he's the one being paid handsomely to figure that out. He seems quite adaptable so far I'm hoping he can find a way. The problem is that his only 2 premier league quality players both play in the same position. I do wonder if a 5 2 2 1 would work with Facundo and Bilal sat in behind a striker with basically free toles. Width coming from the wing backs. 3 CBs, can even have Faes as the aggressive CB who plays a hybrid CB/DM role. Would mean having Daka up top as your striker needs to play a vital part in the game and speed would be important. -

To be fair, if his 100+k a week striker could score then we would have had at least a couple. -
Every little helps

We did just literally smash a Championship side 6-2. -
If it makes you feel any better. Spurs have lost 6, drew 1 and won 1 of their last 8 Premier league games.
