Just don't think you can argue it's anything other than a positive start to be honest. Yeah some team selections have annoyed me, but i've been saying for seasons and seasons now the most important thing is to not lose, we've become so so shit at drawing games in the last few years and as long as you keep the balance of wins and draws you'll always be in good shape in this league. Being able to make quick impactful subs has been one of the biggest positives for me, as this is often the difference between a defeat and a draw or being able to hold on to a win. We lost 11 games under Enzo, i'm going to stick my neck out right now and say we will lose less than that this time round.

Personally i'd say it's the opposite. Macquarie loans taken out without being reinvested, allotment of shares, Whelan departure. All feels very much like take the money and run to me. I might be completely wrong but I wouldn't be surprised to see us under new ownership, or at the very least shared ownership, by Christmas.

Big issue now, given the expansion, is that they couldn't even mix it up. If the WC stuck to 8 groups, you could change things such as the worlds top 12 pre qualify, but during the qualifying phase they have to all play each other in a format similar to the new european comp league phases, to see who leads the 8 groups. At the end you'd have 4 really good sides who would end up being in the same group as another from the top 12. I guess you could take my concept and increase it to top 16 teams. Would probably mean not everyone plays each other though!

Just strikes me as more build up for a sale/new investment to be honest. Leaving space in the CEO seat makes it nice and easy for a new owner, or if it's extra investment, whoever invests can take that seat.

Just to gather everyone's thoughts. A lot of people have said SI have reached "just tart it up a bit and release the database" levels and the game has hit its "ceiling" Genuine question, if they did that every year would anyone actually care? I would happily pay £35-£40 a year for a new database and maybe some colour/layout changes. Why? Because it's literally the only game I play, and has been for 17 years I'd actually say i'm more annoyed this year that they've changed so much because i'll need to upgrade my device! Might actually just keep going with 24 as can't change device until at least next year. I guess my point is why have they felt the need to do this, the game has a cult following, people love how basic (and yet complex...) it is. No one asked for FIFA light graphics.
