  1. Someone who always brings a massive team of coaches but never his own fitness coach.
  2. not that bad. But apparently no interest in strength and conditioning training. Which I see more and more of in his teams, slow, no energy, no strength in defending, especially set pieces. Apparently cancelled a gym refurb contract at Chelsea because he decided it was down to the players to do this in their own time.
  3. What a mess they’re in now, sacked every single coach too, including Hermansens mate! I mean clearly a fall out post press conference given they sent him to do that! Starting to believe all the weird things I’ve heard about potters methods to be honest.
  4. We had a “pressing game” in Ruuds first against West Ham. So it’s either players getting lazy… or it was never a system and more of a “showing off for the new guy”
  5. I think like I said above, it's not really felt like a Championship season yet, wait until we're in the thick of Saturday, Tuesday, Friday and we'll see plenty of rotation and chances for those who haven't featured. Hopefully this time he grabs that chance.
  6. Would you concede that at this level, sometimes you get one opportunity to take your shot and if it goes badly then you'll likely have to wait a while to get a chance to do better second time round? I'm not saying it's the right thing either Ric, I can just see why we are currently persisting with certain individuals. I also think we've not really experienced the Championship back to back games yet where rotation will come in, the next few weeks are what i'd call 'proper' championship schedules so definitely a chance for a few more to show their potential. I think really these first few games has been about getting as many points as poss, I imagine we're behind where we might have wanted to be, and therefore we're sticking with certain people for now.
  7. I think it's quite easy to summarise what has happened. He was given a brief chance, looked shell-shocked and made errors, hasn't been seen since. The manager cannot take risks this season, his remit is promotion. Whereas the luxury of a 16 year old impact winger has happened quite a lot, choosing a young starting centre back ahead of experienced (yet limited) pro's is going to be difficult, especially when he blew his audition! The difficulty for him is Vesty turns into Baresi in the championship and Faes seems to be able to control things and link the midfield. He will have to take his chance next time there's an injury or suspension. None of the above means he isn't good enough or indicates he wouldn't start for nearly every other team in this division by the way...
  8. Was all very Trump esque... "we don't like the way that was worded" Essentially... unless we've written the questions and sent it out ourselves, it holds no value.
  9. TL:DR they're not happy with the foxestrust survey
  10. I’m trying to get my head around this… either Valencia have sent over their own team to film their youth team in a nothing game…. Or we are providing them a feed but not showing it ourselves Either way, horrific!
  11. 3 innings in total this season batting wise so assume 2 games?
  12. Odd selection after odd selection at the mo! Pace attack is very meh, spin options are horrific, basically going to be relying on big scores and Jofra/Stokes magic
  13. England's Ashes squad: Ben Stokes (captain), Jofra Archer, Gus Atkinson, Shoaib Bashir, Jacob Bethell, Harry Brook (vice-captain), Brydon Carse, Zak Crawley, Ben Duckett, Will Jacks, Ollie Pope, Matthew Potts, Joe Root, Jamie Smith (wicketkeeper), Josh Tongue, Mark Wood. England ODI squad to play New Zealand: Harry Brook (capt), Rehan Ahmed, Jofra Archer, Sonny Baker, Tom Banton, Jacob Bethell, Jos Buttler, Brydon Carse, Sam Curran, Liam Dawson, Ben Duckett, Jamie Overton, Adil Rashid, Joe Root, Jamie Smith, Luke Wood. England T20 squad to play New Zealand: Harry Brook (capt), Rehan Ahmed,, Sonny Baker, Tom Banton, Jacob Bethell, Jos Buttler, Brydon Carse, Jordan Cox, Zak Crawley, Sam Curran, Liam Dawson, Jamie Overton, Adil Rashid, Phil Salt, Luke Wood Lions squad TBC...
  14. I was thinking the only way the 8 team thing would be fair is if the 3rd place team automatically gets into the final and it's 5th/6th/7th and 8th that do semi's and a pre final. If that's the case they'd likely have to make both the semi's and the pre final one leg. I think the National league (and north/south) do something similar? *i've missed a team out... **** knows then assume the thinking is that 3rd and 4th pre qualify for a semi?
  15. I've literally just explained to you why they would...
  16. You can guarantee they're used in every single pitch deck for Premier League clubs and beyond though when seeking sponsorship. Most big money marketing teams get away with showing reach and brand awareness metrics internally when it comes to sponsorship deals, of which SM following would play a huge part.
  17. There's no doubt Monchi did brilliant work at Sevilla, none at all, but he didn't last long at Roma and clearly it's gone wrong at Villa now too. I know they were restricted in the summer but this is normally where Monchi does his best work, some of what they've brought in looks dreadful!
  18. And yet we can't attract a legitimate shirt sponsor....
  19. The Saint-Etienne experience seemed pretty horrific, I think he's fully stepped back now, does a lot of Ligue 1 tv in France and is looking VERY well so probably enjoying life. Still think he'd make a team a very good head scout/DOF
  20. I think it's just Decoy pricing not done very well.
  21. Yeah I think I agree. Interestingly seems to be playing as an 8 tonight
  22. Just gave away the free kick for the goal… Tell you what I’ve never seen that free kick technique before! Class. Mind you keeper looked lost.
  23. Probably the latest Watford managers last game
  24. If they were major errors, given our lack of goals, we’d be losing games.
  25. I wasn’t even annoyed by the missed chance because without his brilliant header it wouldn’t have even been a chance! It was all the trash passes and decision making before and after that frustrate me the most. I would say though I liked his reaction on the bench, he was frustrated, he cares, and he wasn’t enjoying Monga occupy 3 of their players at every opportunity!
