Speaking as an Aussie based fan, Australia are looking at the development of the Japanese players and league system in awe and jealousy. They are streets ahead of the rest of the Asian confederation at the moment. Producing a lot of players who are very good on the ball, super high level of professionalism too. Could be a prime scouting region provided the work permit rules are okay?

I think the positivity towards Soumare is overblown. We conceded so many shots I don’t actually think the midfield two were set up well, Wilf just recovered brilliantly. They were passengers tonight with the ball too. Winks and Wilf will be fine, but would’ve liked to have seen Skipp bought on for Bouba. Was the only real negative for me tonight, great win.

Oh grow up VAR let us have that

Don’t come at me with “facts”

BEK and Facundo need to help out creating an outlet for the defence. Need to pull the West Ham midfield around more when we’re on the ball.
-
Absolutely no outlets for the defence to pass to, we miss Winks a lot and the Soumare/Ndidi partnership aint working. Skipp may help this.

Implemented incorrectly and created backwards motion within the team, rather than the forward motion we had last year with RickyP pushing forward. Yes we passed sideways a lot last year but at least we had players running towards goals!

I agree with you, but can we afford to play to his strengths and minimise his weaknesses? Think we’ve got enough of that going on in the team at the moment. inb4 ruud whispers magic advice in his ear and I look like an idiot
-
Absolutely agree, except the majority thought Coady was a starting level CB that filled a leadership vacuum that we had at the time. Revisionist history to suggest otherwise. People were upset at the amount we paid but we needed a player “like” him. He got injured preseason and other players took their chances, and Coady was never the same.
-
But we weren’t in the Prem when we signed him.
-
To be fair when we signed him we had no idea Jannik would then do 180 and become our most important CB last year. I was looking forward to a Coady Souttar partnership personally but was happily proven wrong by Vesty. Still would like Souttar in though.

My issue with Rudkin is it sets a tone for the rest of the joint. We are painted to be a ruthless club by the media because we get rid of managers despite them having success in the past. “You’re little old Leicester, you should be grateful.” The incompetence from the board feeds the culture, no one is held accountable, we make no changes and pretend everything is fine. Why wouldn’t players feel like they can get away with anything?
-
PSR rules mean you can invest into facilities, differently to transfer fees and wages for players. It was never an either/or between the two. The reason we couldn’t invest into the playing squad was our poor investment into players in the first place. Really not sure more money going into that kitty would’ve helped, with the people running the show remaining in place.

Or we’re buying him for over what we want to pay, and they’re throwing Ferguson in as the steak knives. (don’t ruin the dream)
-
So we’re buying Facundo???
-
Or they thought this could happen, knew the risk of the company going bankrupt, got the pounds upfront, and took the deal because it was by far the best for PSR and avoided related party rules. Unethical, but capitalism rarely is.
-
What are you on about? We’re a wholesome family club, we successfully bankrupt dodgy offshore crypto gambling companies!
-
Completely correct - we can double dip. BC.Game and whatever they’ve paid (IF we were smart we would’ve requested a lot of this upfront), and then presumably King Power, that can legally pay the pro-rata market rate set by the deal with BC Game. We’ve had it proven that a front of shirt sponsorship with an unrelated party is worth £xm. We’re about 32% through the Premier League season, so KP could fund a deal worth 68% of what BCgame paid
