  2. I suspect that Top is every inch the idiot that Charlie whassisface says he is and that without Rudkin he wouldn't know what to do. It's the only explanation that I can come up with. The blind leading the blind.
  3. Maybe we could run Citygrave commercially?
  4. We are in a downward spiral and it seems unstoppable. We have become indoctrinated to defeat. We always find a way to lose - red cards, missed penalties, conceding early goals. If the opposition won't beat us we'll do it for them. If we had scored 4 against Southampton at home, we would have found a way to concede 5.
  5. This. A caricature has been created by some fans. Another target and someone else to lash out at. It is largely imaginary and frankly pathetic.
  6. I'd help you push it back up again. Got to be sure....
  7. That's handy cus we've got their average players now.
  8. The only correct answer to this question is Brendan Rodgers. It's mad to say that about an FA Cup winning manager but all of those on the list were giving of their best. Brendan wasn't. He ripped up our successful transfer model and basically left the bridge as we careered toward the iceberg. Our current plight leads back to him.
  9. King is not the problem at the club but he is a experienced former pro. He can't be exempt from criticism after the Craven naivety he showed in that Southampton second half.
  10. One of the worst things about our demise is the fact that it has created a divide between fans and genuine, but unwarranted animosity. There is plenty wrong at this club and plenty of legitimate targets to vent your spleen, but this whole KPFC thing is horseshit and I suspect, largely invented by the protagonists who have created in their own minds an anti-fan complete with flask and even, in many cases, assigned imaginary thoughts and conversations, they have thought it through that far.
  11. I always took the NFP thing to be an affectionate moniker and a nod to his no nonsense approach and the white trainers his trademark.
  12. No, it's relative. When we were big kahunas we would have recoiled in horror at the thought of the old ginger growler. We have fallen so far that in our current plight, getting him in now would seem like a real coup.
  13. Why do they call you grumpy fox?
  14. Yes, I didn't think that through
  15. I would imagine that a properly run club would have a contingency plan with a list of potential next managers at any one time.
  16. Why don't you just go for a day trip to blackpool.
  17. I stand corrected.
  18. I'm just saying that we didn't win the title or 'grab a star' by over-stretching with a £25m team. Regards wages, I will take your word for it against turnover but I can't imagine that by PL standards we were over-paying at that point and PSR didn't exist then anyway. What happened afterwards, happened afterwards.
  19. That's the most depressing sentence I have read for a very long time.
  20. Most do. Look, I can accept your opinion without getting spikey and abrasive, why can't you do the same? King has shown nothing to warrant being kept on if and when a new manager arrives other than being called Andy and King. The only thing I'm putting across as fact is his record to date as coach and interim manager and also his lack of experience. I'm not quite sure which hidden talents you think he has been prevented from displaying but I find the idea pretty fanciful. If we follow your logic, we don't know for sure what Rudkin does every minute of the day but I think it reasonable to judge him on his record. Just my opinion.
  21. He has been part of martis team of failure and has hardly covered himself in glory with 100% loss record and that craven second half alone showed his naivety. Maybe you think he's worth keeping on but then I'd ask you the same question. Why? He has shown nothing. A new manager will want his own coaches. No point keeping Andy King purely for sentimental reasons.
  22. OKJ, but why do we need to keep King on? He hasn't shown anything worth keeping hold of to me. We can't afford to be sentimental and we can't afford jobs for the boys.
  23. This is a myth. When we won the league it surprised us as much as everyone else, we certainly did t overspend to get there. That whole team cost £25m The ambition came later, but the price wasn't the spending, the problem was not selling and letting players walk for free along with buying utter rubbish and putting them on huge contracts.
  24. So we're absolving Rodgers now? By that logic, we can also absolve Rudkin as Top employs him.
