  2. He has done better than 'OK'. Last year, Wednesday were dead and buried with time running out when he walked in.
  3. Funny, if you recall, a lot of people on this forum were saying the exact opposite of this last year. That anybody could have got that squad promoted and that we got there despite Enzo. Truth probably lies in between. Maresca did a good job, but that squad would have gone up with any decent manager.
  4. "can be sure of" I was talking about your future predictions. Even if everything you say were to come true. Even if we were to lose BEK on top of that, even if we didn't replace them our crap summer recruitment would still boss The Championship as Skipp has shown before. Such is the quality down there. You've seen it yourself, it was only last year. Add in Alves, Nelson and Souttar. We will be favourites again.
  5. The only thing that you have said there that we can be sure of is that Vardy will be two years older. We will have a strong team in The Championship and likely favourites to come back up.
  6. New arrivals aside, they have literally already done that.
  7. Well yes, other clubs might not want them because they are hopeless, that's a different point, you originally said that they couldn't be shifted because of big contracts that they won't get elsewhere.
  8. Oops. I could have sworn we got 101 points. I stand corrected. 97. That'll teach me to post without checking my facts.
  9. Contracts will have relegation clauses which will lower wages.
  10. You really think that is best case? This team won The Championship last yer with more than 100 points. We have only lost KDH from that team. Yes, recruitment has been an abomination in which we managed to spend £70m without strengthening the team, BEK aside, but we will still be favourites to go up next year and have players breaking through like Nelson and Alves and possibly Evans.
  11. Title number nine in the bag.
  12. One thing that stuck in my mind was reading that a Brentford fan said that we were the worst team he had seen in their five years at this level. And that was before last night's humiliation.
  13. I'm old enough to remember several relegations and often you feel like you're kicking yourself for dropping points here, missing a penalty there etc. Not this time. There is not one occasion I can think of where we dropped points that we shouldn't have. In fact it's the opposite. It feels like a miracle that we have the points we've got.
  14. Isn't this just the same as the 'who goes' thread?
  15. This is what I mean. There may be people defending the owners, not because of where we are now, but because of the unprecedented success that KP have bought and therefore have earned the right to put things right. There may be people that support the team at the ground. But are they happy with this moribund mob getting royally spanked every week? I'm no longer a regular match goer but I very much doubt it. People have different ways of expressing themselves and I find it a bit pathetic that some people are taking their frustrations out on their fellow fans. With all the faults at the club, other fans are the least of our worries.
  16. The club had already given up.
  17. Actually, I have found one person....
  18. Who is happy with that? The 'happy clappers' I keep reading about? I feel like this forum is full of people shaking metaphorical fists at imaginary enemies.
  19. You're kidding? He never misses the opportunity to have a dig, does he? Tone deaf, ignorant and ungrateful toward the club that plucked him from non-league Alvechurch.
  20. I wouldn't be so sure. I wouldn't be surprised to find out that Rudkin signed off on an obligation.
  21. I think some of the lesser lights of our past make for the most interesting reading. Brilliant, as ever. This screenshot says current age 80 which implies he's still with us. It also says he played a further 68 games back in The Football League (Div 4) with Crewe Alexandra. All this and still found time to crack the Nazi enigma code. What a guy!
  22. Yes. Yes, it is inevitable. The writing is on the wall, we have crossed the event horizon and the fat lady is singing her fat head off. This team is a twitching corpse. Really, it would be kindest to put it out of our misery.
  23. If the powers that be still don't get it (and I'm convinced that they don't) this list should be made into a huge tifo, displayed at home games.
  24. You've been having some of that 'special porridge' haven't you?
