  1. We all know how good Ricardo is, and he is probably still one of, if not the best pure footballer in the squad, but his role would change completely in this Cooper side compared to Enzo, where his inverted role and our dominance in possession didn't tax his body so much. Who knows whether he still has that explosiveness in attack and recovery pace in defence that we'll be more reliant upon this season.
  2. Villa looking to farm out Iling Jr on loan. Might be worth looking at.
  3. He's just come off a full season playing for a champions league side in a top league and people talk about him like he's a pub player. First half he was off it, but so was everyone except Buonanotte. Was excellent along with JJ second half.
  4. TBF the Winks in their side is Lavia and he has looked very good. Caicedo and Fernandez are the non factors.
  5. Not sure if it's the fact he's wearing 26, but Savinho moves a lot like Mahrez on the ball, very silky.
  6. Think the signing would be viewed a bit more positively against the backdrop of having already signed quality attacking reinforcements rather than the farce that has transpired so far. Pressure now on the club to get some genuine attacking quality through the door.
  7. Let's not overreact. If it is £14m, It's not a bad fee at all for his profile of player given he is young, home grown and is rated decently by Spurs. Most people here would have no issue dropping a similar fee on someone like Gus Hamer. Edit, if it's over £20m, that is steep.
  8. Too slick.
  9. You're underselling that run, it was a great run. That is how Hudson Smith runs, he goes out hard and tries to hold on. I wouldn't even say he tied up, he ran 43.44 a PB and a European record, he just got reeled in by someone finishing incredibly quickly.
  10. French fans booing that. Absolute clowns.
  11. That beige/sand/faeces and maroon effort will never be toppled as our worst kit ever. Absolutely appalling.
  12. The pink makes it look better than the original mock ups tbf. Don't mind it.
  13. Rice comes into that group for me. He is not cute enough on the ball the be the deep lying midfielder in a low tempo style relying on dominating the ball.
  14. Thank you to Southgate for the good things he has done, but time to move on to a coach who can implement patterns of play on and off the ball to help get the best out of the individual talent, and not just rely on staying solid and hoping that talent bails you out. Spain had numerous ways to win that game, intensity off the ball forcing errors, controlling the tempo in midfield with intelligent, mobile ball players, or by upping the ante and utilising the pace/direct running of the wingers. What were our routes to winning? We also need to not be afraid to put some individuals noses out of joint. I'm not going to criticise individuals too much this tournament because they aren't set up to succeed, but we need to be focusing now on fitting players into the system, and not building around the best individual talent.
  15. If ITV had Tyldesley instead of Matterface the McCoist Tyldesley combo would have swung me itv for the first time ever.
  16. Djokovic getting broken down wide to the forehand wing.
  17. Sounds like a Leicester gaffe, sending a scout to the wrong continent.
  18. We deserved the win over the 90 minutes. Yes the 2nd half was mostly turgid, but Koeman shored up the midfield after getting overrun in there first half. Wanted Foden and or Saka to try and get on the ball more and commit defenders as with Kane on the pitch the only way we'd have created was through individuals making space with a bit of trickery. Credit to Southgate for the setup and changes. Yes the subs look obvious on the face of it, but he has demonstrated time and again his in game management isn't very good so it was a pleasant surprise to see his changes making an impact.
  19. Midfield looks so much more fluid, we were overrunning them in there from about minute 10-35 hence Koeman bringing on a midfielder when Depay had to be subbed. Hopefully it can be sustained 2nd half.
  20. Wes Streeting almost loses to a Gaza protest vote. 500 votes.
  21. Ashworth has lost to an independent in Leicester South.
  22. There was a lot of noise on social media around Dan Jarvis losing to Reform in Barnsley. He won by 8k
  23. Clearly it's the Reform vote that has led her to that conclusion
  24. Huge numbers for Reform in Sunderland South
