Comparing this season to 2014/15 Great Escape
martyn replied to tickler28's topic in Leicester City Forum
Totally agree. There is a lot of revisionism about that season about how unlucky we were, I remember us being absolutely awful for a 4/5 months period. The main difference really is the character of the squad. I don't see enough players in this crop to pull us out of the mire. -
Buonanotte can have no complaints.
-
Buonanotte trying hero ball again.
-
The encouraging thing here is that there are clear patterns of play for progressing the ball. Need Vardy to get his shooting boots on.
-
Not impressed with Forest at all really tbf, Liverpool have been vastly superior. They have 2 of the best CB's in the league, are very well organised and have some slightly above average talent going forward. Talk of the title is nonsense, they've got nobody of the level of Kante, Mahrez or Vardy from that season.
-
Forest getting battered now.
-
Some strike by Semenyo that.

QPR (H) - FA Cup 3rd Round - Match Thread

Nice pass by Skipp to set that off -
Peak Taylor probably beats that Littler performance this evening, 7-4 or 7-5. Would have averaged 106-108 and had doubles of 50% or so.
-
Swear James Wade never used to miss D10. Hopefully MvG can take the next set or 2, make a game of it.
-
The brain farts and lapses in concentration are infuriating. He has so many good qualities and we're so much more fluid moving the ball between the thirds with him there.
-
Highest class of performance I've seen from a Leicester player in some time.
-
Foden just put in the worst individual performance I've seen from an opposition player all season.
-
Best player on the pitch. Looks so poised on the ball.
-
I'd be wondering more why the landing gear was retracted
-
Liverpool away is currently the most difficult fixture in the league, granted, but I've seen similar sentiments about "free hits" against other sides. Take Chelsea and Villa at home, for example. Teams looking to survive shouldn't be writing these games off. Other teams in the bottom 6-8 will take points off top sides. You need to take occasional points off top sides to survive.
-
Yep, he's everywhere the ball isn't. I thought we'd likely overpaid for a decent, unspectacular midfielder who'd at least contribute, but he's just got nothing about him based on what we've seen so far.

Settle a Centre Back Argument For Me
martyn replied to Manwell Pablo's topic in Leicester City Forum
If Elliott had pace he'd have been a great. Superb footballer for a big lump. -
El Khannouss off, wtf?
-
Game shows what we all knew, Hermansen has kept us out of the bottom 3. We need an entirely new defence in January to stand a chance.
-
Soumare has been excellent again. Looks about our best player now, shows how far we've collapsed.
-
Wow Ward getting hammered by the crowd
-
That's an absolutely unbelievable pass by El Khannouss.

All 3 judges for Usyk (where it's in Saudis interest to give anything close to Fury), more punches landed by Usyk, much higher percentage landed by Usyk, the more hurtful punches landed by Usyk. 116-112, 115-113 whatever, makes no difference. Right guy won and we can save the ire for the next time there's a genuine robbery.
-
Really surprised about the sentiment in here. I can't really see any argument for Fury having won that.
