'Mind-boggling' - Dewsbury-Hall hits out at referees ByBobbie Jackson BBC Sport Journalist Everton midfielder Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall said it's "mind boggling" that he has already received a suspension after picking up five yellow cards in six Premier League appearances. Dewsbury-Hall, booked for a 90th-minute challenge on Kyle Walker-Peters during Monday's 1-1 draw against West Ham, will miss Sunday's game against Crystal Palace. The Everton midfielder won the ball but also appeared to catch the West Ham defender on the top of his foot during the challenge. "Forgive me if I'm wrong, and I might be, but some of these decisions are so hard to take. Mind boggling," the 27-year-old posted on X, external. It is not unheard of for players to be suspended for an accumulation of yellow cards at this stage of the campaign - it happened to striker Nicolas Jackson at Chelsea two seasons ago. Everton manager David Moyes said referee Samuel Barrott's decision to show a card was "shabby" and questioned the level of officiating in the Premier League. "I think the decisions we've had at the moment [have been frustrating], but I think all the managers might be saying that at the moment," Moyes said. "I mean there's been a general poor level at the moment. I thought the decision on Dewsbury-Hall was a really shabby decision." Latest Everton news, analysis and fan views Ask about Everton - what

Javier Ortiz is signed by Leicester Javi Ortiz joined Sandefjord Fotball in 2018 and has been an important part of the coaching staff ever since. Now new challenges await in England. A-team Men Home / News / It has been seven years at Sandefjord Fotball for Francisco Javier Ortiz Guerrero. Now he will reunite with former Sandefjord coach Martì Cifuentes and become the new goalkeeping coach for Leicester City. "It's exciting for me, a big step to take, a big challenge, but that's what it's fun, that's how football is. At the same time, it's sad to leave Sandefjord. It's a bit of a 50/50 feeling, because you're looking forward to a new challenge, that's what you want as a coach. At the same time, I've been here for seven years, my life is here now. My wife is here, we were going to become parents here in December, so in that way it's sad, because we're happy here." Javi is looking forward to taking on new challenges, but will miss Sandefjord Fotball. He is proud and impressed with how the club has developed during his time here. "Sandefjord has made huge strides since I started here. It's a completely different club than in 2018. It's difficult to compete against others in the league because we in Sandefjord don't have the same size of budget as our competitors. But that's how it is in Sandefjord, we try to be a little smarter in the way we do things. The club is growing, the administration is getting more people full-time, and we're doing very well. That's one of the reasons I've liked it so much here, because it's motivating to work with people with the same ambitions as me, who are trying to get better every single year. I see a great future for the club if the development continues." In conclusion, Javi has the following to say: "I will miss the entire playing group and coaching group, but also everyone in the entire club. I have spent many hours at the stadium and have enjoyed every moment with the people at the club. And I will definitely miss the summer in Sandefjord! I can't wait to visit again!" We wish Javi the best of luck in England and hope Leicester returns to the Premier League as soon as possible! https://www.sandefjordfotball.no/nyheter/javier-ortiz-blir-hentet-av-leicester

https://the72.co.uk/2025/09/30/leicester-city-javier-ortiz-new-goalkeeping-coach/ Leicester City set to hire 33-year-old in Marti Cifuentes reunion Marti Cifuentes is still making his mark at Leicester City, and he looks set to land a new addition to his backroom team. by James Ray 30 September 2025 2 minute read Leicester City look set to land Javier Ortiz as their new goalkeeping coach with Sandefjord Fotball announcing the move. Leicester City are building for a new chapter under the lead of Marti Cifuentes. The Spaniard is tasked with leading LCFC back to the Premier League after relegation last season. It will be hoped he can bring both success on the pitch and more stability off it, with the Foxes still shrouded by doubts over the ownership and a potential points deduction. Nonetheless, Cifuentes is remaining focused on the task at hand. He’s out to make his mark at the King Power Stadium, and shaping the backroom staff to his liking will help him do so. Now, it seems Leicester City are set to add a new goalkeeping coach in the form of Javier Ortiz. Ortiz’s club, Norway’s Sandefjord Football, have announced on their official club website that the coach is leaving for England to join LCFC. The move marks a reunion with Cifuentes, who he held the same position under with the Eliteserien side.

And do we know these 3 are good enough for the PL if by chance we got promoted? -
Silly but made me chuckle. At the National Art Gallery in Dublin, a husband and wife were staring at a portrait that had them completely confused. The painting depicted three black men totally naked, sitting on a bench. Two of the figures had black penises, but the one in the middle had a pink penis. The curator of the gallery realized that they were having trouble interpreting the painting and offered his personal assessment. He went on for over half an hour explaining how it depicted the sexual emasculation of African Americans in a predominately white patriarchal society . "In fact", he pointed out, "some serious critics believe that the pink penis also reflects the cultural and sociological oppression experienced by gay men in contemporary society". After the curator left, an Irishman approached the couple and said, "Would you like to know what the painting is really about?" "Now why would you claim to be more of an expert than the curator of the gallery", asked the couple? "Because I am the artist, who painted the picture", he replied, "In fact, there are no African Americans depicted at all. They're just three Irish coal miners. The guy in the middle went home for lunch"

It's a double edge sword, if we plan to try to move on the likes of Wout and Kristiansen in January then it's probably a good idea to keep them involved and fit. On the other side if the young lads are going to be involved next season and we get promoted then they need to be getting time on the pitch in the Championship otherwise they'll find it almost impossible to break though into a PL team. Unless the plan is to use them more after the January window it almost looks like the club are resigned to be in this league next year. -

The media keep giving Farage air time disproportionally compared to say the Lib Dems who have just had their conference with hardly any coverage in fact you'd be forgiven if you didn't know it had happened then it's not surprising they are doing well in the polls. It seems to me every time one of the other parties are interviewed they are always questioned about Farage and then their answer becomes the day's headlines almost completely ignoring anything else they've said.

I t was good enough for Elvis Jerry Lee Lewis went a bit further well age wise. Yes, Jerry Lee Lewis married his first cousin once removed, Myra Gale Brown, in 1957 when she was 13 and he was 22. The marriage caused a massive scandal when it was revealed during a concert tour in England, leading to the cancellation of his tour and near-ruin of his career. Myra Gale Brown, now Myra Lewis Williams, later wrote a book about the experience and the abuse she endured. Key details of the marriage: They were married for 13 years before Myra filed for divorce in 1970, citing physical and mental abuse. Lewis's fame afforded him protection, and the story became a cultural reckoning with power and gender dynamics. Myra Gale Brown later wrote the book Great Balls of Fire: The Uncensored Story of Jerry Lee Lewis and her own memoir, The Spark That Survived, reclaiming her narrative. Myra Gale Brown: was only 13 years old when she married Lewis. Lewis was 22 at the time and was still legally married to his second wife when the marriage to Myra took place. The scandal broke when British journalists uncovered the truth during a tour, causing public outrage. Lewis's career imploded, with concerts cancelled and his music removed from radio airwaves. The couple had two children together, though Myra was only 14 when she gave birth to their first child. Probably best not to use the USA as a yardstick.

With the higher number of births via donated sperm they'll surely be a mismatch in the future. I believe there are many people out there who do not know who their father is and there's plenty of guys who are serial donors.

John Ghent Leicester Estate Agent · Follow Who remembers when Narborough Road looked like this? Back then these shops were the beating heart of the neighbourhood. The florist, the wool shop, the tent hire place…all buzzing with friendly faces and everyday errands. Rows of classic Leicester terraces wrapped around it all, giving the street a true feel-good factor—everyone seemed to know everyone. Then came the housing boom of the 2000s. Prices that once felt steady suddenly shot up as buyers looked beyond the city centre. What was once a street of lifelong homeowners became one of Leicester’s biggest rental markets, fuelled by the university crowd and hospital staff. Landlords snapped up terraces, and the area’s character started to shift. Today Narborough Road is a mix of old and new: independent takeaways, global grocery stores, and long-time locals alongside students and young professionals. Some love the vibrant change, others miss the slower, close-knit days. What’s your memory of Narborough Road—old or new? Share a story, a favourite shop -
