Stoke’s home form has been crap lately. Therefore a 1-0 win for them, Bae Jun-Ho with the goal.

After living in the Narborough Road area all my life, I thoroughly agree, it’s got progressively worse over time. From the West End bridge down to Braunstone Gate is the absolute pits.

For the position we find ourselves in, if they couldn’t be arsed to try and get Pearson back, then it was either Rowett or Mowbray until the end of the season for me. Going forward after this season, if McCarron is coming in as sporting director, I just don’t see Rowett as being his type of guy for the long term.

It happened on the way to (or from) the ground

I woke up in a field once after Stoke away. A cow then charged at me, so I had to knock it out, one punch. -
The most exciting thing to come out of this is his background with youth development. Being sporting director at a club like Lommel with a lot of young players, in a league that consists of teams like Club NXT, Anderlecht futures and Jong Genk, hopefully he can find us some young gems from leagues like the Jupiler, that will hopefully bring us some profit in years to come. The downside is that he comes from a Manchester City background. If that’s his type of vision then I fully expect more possession based bollocks. But if this was always Top’s type of plan, why on earth didn’t we just give the managers job to Brian Barry-Murphy in the summer.
-
His record at Championship level is better than people give him credit for, for the position we are in, I’m content with Rowett on an interim basis, but whatever happens come the end of the season, we should then depart ways, a rebuild under Gary Rowett is a big no no.

Top has probably bombarded Maresca with phone calls for three weeks hoping he’d take it.

Well my previous post was a waste of time

If we don’t see any action this week, then something is seriously wrong somewhere. Just read Tanner’s article on how clubs go about recruiting new managers, unsurprisingly he mentioned how scattergun our approach has been since Rodgers left. We’ve assembled the squad off the back of five managers, going from Maresca to Cooper being the most idiotic decision of the lot, hardly surprising that we’re a mess. Now we’ve sacked Cifuentes in a window where appointing an interim is probably better than appointing a permanent, even more so as we find ourselves in a relegation battle. Knowing how Top works, he’s probably clamouring around for a high profile name, because he thinks the club is above managers like Gary Rowett, or as @ClaphamFox said earlier, they’ve thrown all their eggs into Andy King’s basket because he’s the cheapest option. Naive ownership No technical director No manager What a shitshow.

They’ll probably appoint Chris Coleman this week to add more misery. -
Victoria Mboko looks a serious talent

Sunderland’s model in recent years has been fantastic, Speakman becoming available is like being handed an open goal, it seems he was very much a transitional appointment to get them back on track, ideally we need someone of that ilk, but knowing us, we won’t try to take advantage of Speakman’s availability.
-
As that Blackburn journalist tweeted yesterday, there’s interest in Rowett elsewhere(Probably us) hence why he didn’t commit to them. Knowing us, we’re probably trying to tempt 1-2 more high profile targets that are probably unrealistic, when they don’t come off, we’ll just turn to Rowett.
-
Sacking Cifuentes at the time we did has put us in such an awkward situation, sacking him during the international break in November was the perfect window, just like Norwich did with Liam Manning, it was just unfortunate that beating Norwich before that international break kept Marti in a job Sacking him at the end of January, then twiddling your thumbs for a few weeks, it just leaves you in that awkward situation of, do we try and get an interim until the end of the season, or do we actually appoint someone permanently. You have managers like Dyche and Rowett that you’d probably be content with on an interim basis. But if you appointed one of them on a permanent basis, they keep us in the Championship, do you then want them to have the keys to a summer transfer window, which could potentially end up being a massive rebuild, looking at their history in the transfer market, it would have to be a firm no.

FFS, this is the summer all over again, time to ditch the pouting Brussel for the return of

“Other interested clubs in the background” 🤔

If it does end up being Hasenhuttl, why on earth didn’t we try for him in the summer, when he ticked so many of the right boxes.

LCFC 3-4 Southampton, post-match thread
kingfox replied to Phil Mitchell's topic in Leicester City Forum
2am but fvck it, I need a much needed rant. So many times in recent years, I end up feeling nothing after a defeat, normally I couldn’t give a shit, because that’s how the club have made me feel for far too long, detached and unbothered. But what we witnessed tonight and the manner of it, this is the angriest I’ve felt since that 3-2 capitulation against Tottenham. Tonight after their fourth goal went in I just laughed, you just knew it was going to happen. Seriously, what has this club become? The mentality throughout this club from Top, Rudkin all the way down to the players is rotten. On the pitch, we’ve had some mentally weak teams in my lifetime, but these bunch of frauds are the worst I’ve ever seen. What Top, Rudkin and Glover(He deserves plenty of criticism) have assembled is an absolute fvcking mess. Ricardo Pereira - A great servant for Leicester City, in his prime one of the best right-backs we’ve ever had, but unfortunately he’s finished. He has also proven this season that he is no leader, having him as captain and the other experienced players around him, just shows how poor our so called “leadership” group is. Caleb Okoli - About £13 million we paid for him, another over priced mistake. I still stand by the fact that he was clearly an agent led signing, as he was under the same agency as Steve Cooper. Luke Thomas - On what planet do you give him a new four-year contract. The worst contract decision our hierarchy have made. Harry Winks - Didn’t want to be here, now is back in the fold. That just epitomises how broken this club is. Oliver Skipp - He’s shown improvements at times this season, but we all know paying £20+ million for him was a huge mistake. Stephy Mavididi - “Get your popcorn ready, we gonna have fun this szn”… Fun Jordan Ayew - From a legendary number 9, to one of the most pathetic number 9’s in the clubs history. Just epitomises how shit our recruitment has been. Add to them Jannik Vestergaard(15 million), Patson Daka(23 million), Victor Kristiansen(17 million), a 33 year old Bobby Reid and we still have Hamza Choudhury on our books. All that work to assemble a squad full of unlikeable frauds. And to make matters worse, all that money wasted on transfer fees and wages, left us in such a mess that we can only manage loans. Not to worry though, Joe Aribo is bound to rescue us. Now that’s off my chest, time for some Mirtazapine.- 601 replies
