2-1 win, Carranza with a last minute winner đź”®

Fear the beard Five more rounds to go!

He had productive enough loan spells at Angers, Rangers and Brest since that failed one at Stoke. A loan until the end of the season would be worth a gamble. But looking around, there could be a lot of solid options available for loan in January.
-
Abdallah Sima on loan from Lens. Hardly played for them since joining in the summer. Fatawu, Mavididi, Monga and Sima as our wing options for the rest of the season would be decent.
-
Mentioned him in the summer, Winks & Soumare out, Jorgensen in!

Just six more rounds to go!

Bristol City 2-2 LCFC - Post Match Thread

God knows why he thought taking James off and putting BDCR at CM for 10 minutes would work, a very bizarre switch. But I can see why certain fans are criticising the quality of the squad, because imo it has two glaring issues. Striker - We have no striker who can hold the ball up, relieve pressure and carry us up the pitch. Ayew’s trait of trying to relieve pressure is falling over and trying to win a free-kick. Central Midfield - As much as we want shut of them, not having Winks and Soumare as options on the bench to try and gain some midfield control back was strikingly evident tonight. We’ll just have to grin and bear that situation until January comes around, and hopefully we have enough leeway to revamp the midfield a little bit. -
Carranza out, Jizz Hornkamp in

Bloody hell, that was a nervous watch wasn’t it, thought we were on course for a monumental collapse. Magnificent dish of 69 in the last frame
-
In agreement with the above, we’ve seen bits and pieces of good stuff from Selby in recent years, but in terms of form and consistency, what he’s produced over the past month is the best he’s looked in years, all facets of his game are working extremely well atm.
-
Braybrooke will hopefully emerge at some point, but for the time being, I’d keep him with Fuchs at Newport. An Ndidi type presence is one of our missing pieces imo, Cifuentes had Jonathan Varane at QPR, 6ft3 and ranked very high across the defensive metrics, we have nobody like that atm.
-
Personally I think not replacing Ndidi has hurt us quite a few times this season, I’d bin Winks off for a midfielder with some defensive nous.
-
There was a point earlier in the season where he looked motivated again, but if he keeps acting like this from time to time then it’s time to get him gone in January. The midfield has needed revamping for a little while. Hopefully we have some room to manoeuvre to move Winks and Soumare on in January then bring at least one new CM in.
-
I’ve seen a lot of great midfielders in my time, Xavi, Iniesta, Pirlo, but Oliver Skipp is the greatest midfielder I’ve ever seen.
-
Best 45 minutes in the league this season. Hopefully we can finally string a good 90 minutes together 🤞🏻

The match fixing comments are out in force after that match deciding missed pink.

30+ degrees here in Samut Prakan, but was well worth braving the heat to see Thailand beat Brunei.

Just arrived in Samut Prakan. On arrival I got a free cuddly bear and some dehydrated papaya. Thank you Top ❤️

The pace of play in the Championship has picked up since we were last in it, but we’re currently the fifth slowest team in the league in terms of direct speed. Two of the four teams slower than us have been Norwich and Swansea, both have sacked their managers. Our build up play is evidently too slow and our end product ends up being toothless. When we end up losing possession, we look far too vulnerable on transition, because we lack athleticism in midfield which then exposes our mistake ridden defence. When you don’t follow the right trends, then this is what you get. It’s about time Leicester moved away from the slow tippy-tappy bullshit, but you can guarantee if Cifuentes gets sacked, it’s either Martin or Carrick coming through the door.

LCFC 2-3 Sheff Utd, post-match thread

Fvck you Marti, you’ve made me do it -
4-3 win incoming, Ayew hat-trick đź”®

It’s just rinse and repeat, all possession, zero substance, get caught on transition, concede. I’ve said it so many times over the past year, this is what happens when you don’t get with the right trends. We failed to do it in the Premier League, now we’re failing to do it in the Championship. But the sad thing is, if he goes, the board will probably turn to another possession obsessed manager.

Hopefully we bring on Skipp and Soumare in the second half
