  1. I’d look past his output tbh mate. Some of his creative and defensive numbers at both Standard Liege and West Brom were excellent last season. A player that is capable of picking a pass, while also chipping in with defensive work. A work in progress, but definitely a player worth tracking.
  2. Cracking signing if they pull it off. Would be a good replacement for BEK if he leaves, Jack Rudoni and Isaac Price the same. Shame we have very little chance of getting one of them.
  3. As some posters have been calling for an attacking full-back. Max Arfsten - Columbus Crew. Can play LB, LWB, LW. Ranks well for touches in the box, dribbles and successful attacking actions. Middlesbrough had a bid rejected for him a few weeks ago.
  4. More this rumbles on, the more you think we’ll either dip into the loan market, look at players out of contract next year, or delve into our regular agent lists. Patrick Bamford and David Datro Fofana unfortunately tick those boxes.
  5. At Championship level, personally I still think we do, albeit unlikeable players, we still have a good chunk of the squad that got promoted under Maresca. My current fear is our work out of possession, and Strider hits the nail on the head with the points made. Getting dicked on transition has been my fear for the past two seasons. I feel Marti ball requires high energy, especially in the midfield area, consisting of players who can track back, make recoveries and win possession. We don’t really have the personnel to make that currently work imo, Winks and Soumare are just not defensive enough. Losing Ndidi really didn’t help on the physical aspect of our squad. Even though his form did tail off, he was still our main midfielder in terms of tackling, intercepting and aerial ability. We desperately need to replace his attributes. Then that problem of getting hit on transition just exposes our lack of pace at the back. Vestergaard obviously needs pace around him or you simply shouldn’t play him. I feel Marti ball requires athleticism, but we don’t have enough of it. If we don’t rectify that issue in the next couple of weeks, then our chances of being in the mix of promotion diminishes imo.
  6. From Riverside Community College to Morecambe FC. Always been a hard working guy has Ash, massive job to pick a club up off the canvas, but fingers crossed he’s successful and gets them back in the EFL.
  7. Fvcking painful watching a hard working midfield duo in Tanaka and Stach, while we have to watch Soumare and Skipp.
  8. Yep, or we could get another 9-0 Southampton player in Nathan Redmond
  9. Could easily replace him with some quality free agents, Rachid Ghezzal or Fousseni Diabate.
  10. With the way their playing out from the back has looked so far this season, I can see why they’d want Zatterstrom. Of Scandinavian centre backs though, Eivind Helland at Brann is worth keeping tabs on 👍🏻
  11. Sheff Utd dipping into the Scandinavian market, time we did the same, go get Zeneli or Rosengren.
  12. After his weekend performance, I got the sense that his head has probably been turned and a move is on the horizon. It’s hardly a surprise if he moves in all honesty, losing the likes of BEK, Hermansen and Fatawu was always going to be a strong possibility this summer. Hopefully Fatawu stays as losing all three would put us more in the shit. If he goes Palace then it’s a solid move for him.
  13. That knobhead Kingfox back in 2012 referring himself as “The Banter King”, “King of banter” and “Bantersaurus Rex”.
  14. Mattsson is a fantastic shout for the pivot role if Winks moves on. Saw the link to Norwich too, but with that not materialising yet, I’d try and steal in. He is also out of contract next year too, so highly likely he’ll move on this summer for a modest fee. If we don’t delve into the Allsvenskan market for a midfielder, I’d be quite disappointed tbh. There’s an intriguing cluster of young midfielders coming through. Zeneli, Siltanen, Karlsson(Hammarby) and Rosengren(Malmö) all having strong season’s.
  15. Another striker off the market #WelcomeBamford
  16. Mentioned him the other week, would be perfect for the ‘8’ role. But as Bournemouth have a connection with Lorient, he’ll probably go there.
  17. Echo a lot of comments in this thread. Getting the right core of players with the right mentality, who will bring the right culture is so important. When we had the likes of Schmeichel, Morgan, Fuchs and Huth especially, that was such a solid core of players who were all worthy of the captains armband. I look at Brentford over the years as an example, Ben Mee, Ethan Pinnock, Christian Norgaard, Mathias Jensen and they had Pontus Jansson at one point too, a very strong experienced reliable group. We don’t have that anymore. Our core of the “leadership group” consists of Justin, Winks, Ayew, Choudhury, Ricardo and Vestergaard. The only one worthy of the captains armband is Ricardo, and thankfully Cifuentes has identified this. When he is out injured though, you have to turn to the likes of Justin and Choudhury. That is yet another indication of how far we’ve fallen. The experienced core also needs a complete revamp, otherwise our mentality.will continue to get worse.
  18. We’re in that shitty August predicament where the transfer window is open, certain players could be on the brink of moving, while a select few clearly don’t want to be here. The mentality at Leicester City is probably the lowest it’s been since the shitty era of 05-08. I’ve been getting terrible vibes for the past season, that we could be on the brink of that type of era again. Nothing changes until a certain core of players leave Leicester City. We’ve gone into a season again with Faes and Vestergaard as centre back options. Our midfield needed a refresh last season, yet this season we’re a body short. While we’ve started the season with Ayew as our main striker. That just indicates what a mess we’re in. Cifuentes has a massive job on his hands. He needs to revamp the culture, the bad eggs at this football club all need binning off, it’s time for him to get ruthless. Otherwise as @Dan said, we could end up being another Stoke City.
  19. He has a massive job on his hands. Squad needs a serious revamp in certain areas, but I just fear these current players will hang him out to dry.
  20. The 07/08 squad were more likeable than these idiots
  21. Monga now the youngest player to ever score in the second tier
  22. Shit defenders No leaders No proper set piece taker No proper number 9 Leicester City in 2025
