  1. I think they've called the last four winners of the league to be fair to them. They had Leeds this year though so glad to be ending the run. What they, and a lot of fans in this league need to realise is quite how badly we ****ed up to get relegated. It would be comparable to Newcastle going down next season. It would be a total mismatch.
  2. Clashes with the only other game of the round I'm bothered about watching naturally. I'm sure the Indonesians will be flocking to this one.
  3. I've listened all season and I do agree about Elek. I think they're genuinely quite clued up and they both see football quite similarly to how I do but I do think Elek in particular does seem to have a bit of a gripe. I mean he's called Leeds better than us a few times and that's just demonstrably not true now. Haven't listened to this weeks. I definitely know more about the EFL than I did six months ago. The betting show is a cracking feature for anyone who does it - definitely a net positive for me this season in that department put it that way.
  4. actually got the reps too.
  5. Everyones left on the 85th minute
  6. I managed to sort it in the end. Got around the membership fee at least.
  7. To be honest I think even if we changed 4/5 players we'd still win because they will do the same and we have the greater depth.
  8. I agree there's no easy answer and I have for a while thought our system was fairer than a lot of other clubs I've heard, but I do think it's created a staleness in the fanbase now. Somebody in this thread nailed in yesterday when they said how relatively full M1 was at 85 minutes compared to most of the ground - people who don't get as much of a chance and actually have a bit of enthusiasm for it. 20-30% on general sale I agree is too many but I'd not be against maybe 10%.
  9. Knew he'd be too good for this league. He profiled as probably a top half Ligue 1 player and that's a better level of league than this one. Torn on how well he'll step up.
  10. Maresca's a very good man manager.
  11. What's the stance on buying tickets for people via your season ticket? Apparently from today you are able to do so but when I go onto the site it says I've exceeded my limit?
  12. ****ing hell. I'd fancy us to beat this now!
  13. No it just sums up quite how badly he actually fumbled it - the fact he could be the FA Cup winning manager and still not be liked is incredible.
  14. Yep exactly this. It started even before Bournemouth for me. The manner of the Man City / Liverpool hammerings in December 2019 but worse than that, losing to that awful Villa side over two legs. To lose a semi final over two legs to a team we beat 8-1 on aggregate in the league points to a team with serious fragility. I believe this fragility was the foundation for our eventual total collapse. As big a disgrace as Rodgers was for his last two seasons, the board are hugely at fault for not acting upon it. The 2022/23 Leicester season was like nothing I've seen. You see managers have maybe a month like it where he's mentally clocked out and knows it's over soon. We allowed this to pan out for over a year. It was the only possible way you could relegate that level of squad.
  15. Absolutely no chance. The promoted trio all going down is only 6/11.
  16. What an apt name. This bloke has an absolutely class shot. That first goal today is a brilliant hit and to be honest the second as well, nothing too eye catching, but shrugging off a centre half isn't something our strikers really do a great deal these days so it was quite refreshing to watch. Made the place his own for the next few games.
  17. Saw the thread title and thought Elon Musk had had another kid.
  18. I don't think anyone's really moaning at the fact some people have built theirs up, it's more that it's hard to actually get the ball rolling per se. I'm lucky that in League One my Dad got the urge to go to away games again due to it being often about £20 for him, me and my sister to go to grounds he'd never been to and I had the ball rolling years ago, I got the bug and I now have a huge number. But the issue isn't so much this it's more that people will struggle to get started now.
  19. Honestly we'd only be promoted with 3 games left or something. It's calamitous.
  20. Game after game just confirms our relegation as the worst ever. This is a Premier League team.
  21. Haha I forgot about this cretin. New year, same pillock.
  22. I think we're that far clear in the league that an FA Cup run wouldn't really knock us off our stride, plus the myth that being in the cup knackers your season is just propaganda spread by managers trying to hide their ineptness. I'd give some others a bit of a run out but Sheffield United made the semis last season and got automatically promoted. Lets get it won.
  23. I know this whole season is a bit of a farce because it is just genuinely uncompetitive but even despite that it's embarrassingly bad.
  24. Three straight promotions with Vitoria Setubal, right from the 4th tier to the 1st. The 4th and 3rd tiers were expected but we overperformed a bit in the 2nd.
  25. It's pretty much this. Man City and Liverpool are the only ones with the track record of putting together a proper run as well. Seems like it'll take a low points tally. I just can't look beyond Man City again now. I don't think this Liverpool side looks all that personally. That Mourinho quote on Arsenal has aged like a fine wine
