Beat me to it

I understand the reservations people would have about Martin, but I find the level of vitriol here a bit baffling… anyone would think we’re appointing Peter Taylor or Dennis Wise… Would love to know what the bloke has done to some of you lot

was gonna suggest Riera but didn’t think he’d come here, turns out he’s off to Hull

Development/Youth Squads 2024/2025 Thread - U18/U21
Aleksz replied to davieG's topic in Leicester City Forum
Page is defo next up. Reminds me of Mousa Dembele. Left footed box to box or holding midfielder, strong, press resistant. -
Distribution was poor yesterday, usually a lot better. But he’s due a poor game, been exceptional otherwise.

Development/Youth Squads 2024/2025 Thread - U18/U21

No Evans or Monga across the England U17 and U19 squads for their respective euros is pretty farcical. Both are ready to go up an age group or two given their seasons. -
From what I’ve seen against premier league quality full backs, he will more than hold his own against championship level next year. (Somehow) he’s ready. Insane talent.
-
Fully agree, looked like he needed it. A bit of closure for him that he’s not hated here.

Quite surprised to see this thread hasn’t been bumped recently. Like Thomas, is starting to find his feet with a run of games. Great kid, really hope he kicks on next year and can put that 6’4 frame to good use.

Ruud van Nistelrooy - New Manager - Official
Aleksz replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
I quite like what he stands for in terms of young players and trying to install some discipline - he’s what we need in that regard. But I really haven’t seen enough tactically or in terms of game management to want to move forward with him. Wish him all the best but we need to look elsewhere. -
Penny has defo dropped with him. Looks a different player, as others say seems to developed some aggression - also a bit of a shithouse streak too.
-
He's not going to want to play championship football regardless, nor should he be in a World Cup year.
-
So do Leverkusen, good luck
-
Yeah think he just want to bow out at 500. Fair ****s to the bloke can do what he wants. He’ll be shooting from all over the place on Saturday mind

Nailed it. But but, he’ll give us pashun
-
This is the big thing for me too. He’ll leave the next manager with Michael Keane, Ashley Barnes and Ashley Westwood etc to clear out. He only signs one type of player. We need to rebuild this club, not make even more of a mess.
-
Think he’ll be top next year, feels a bit like the penny has dropped.

Facundo Buonanotte joins on loan - Official
Aleksz replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
He’s been crap under Ruud, but Ruud also totally killed the confidence Cooper had put into him. He ran the show in the same XI as El Khannouss against West Ham (H) and then had to be taken out for the game against Brighton and it totally killed his momentum. Criminal they’ve not played together more since, I’d wager we’d have a few more points than we do if we’d persisted with that combination. Good luck to him, he’s a top (raw) talent and very likeable. -
Would be a horrific appointment. We’ve got a youth golden generation on our hands and we wanna appoint a manager that has posted up some of Everton, Burnley and Watfords highest average age XI’s. The clubs future hinges on getting the best out of the young players at this club just as much as it does getting promoted again. Awful fit.

Went down to Anstey today, I fear I’ve fallen back in love with Richie Wellens and I want him on the touchline next season with Gally and Kingy assistants. Make it happen.

Leicester City All Stars Vs Anstey Nomads All Stars
Aleksz replied to Lewis Wright's topic in Leicester City Forum
3-3. Taft, Chambers and someone else with a dubious equaliser, I missed who scored it. The lads won on penos with a trademark Gallagher penalty! Conrad Logan with some penalty heroics. Well done to everyone involved at Anstey. Lovely set up down there and a great day out. -
This thread is absolutely mental. You see people writing off Cleverley but then for example see a decent amount of people wanting John Mousinho or a relegated Mirion Muslic. Regardless of what you think of the board they have an absolutely impossible task of appeasing the majority of the fanbase with the next appointment, opinions are all over the shop.

Can see the club putting him in an ultimatum situation of “sign a contract or no first team minutes” for next season to be honest, we have previous of doing this in the past with Tavares and Wanya (allegedly).
-
Not sure what the source was, but there was word on here that a fair few MLS clubs are interested.
