  1. Wasn't that long ago that optimists were predicting the Birmingham match would be the one which confirms promotion.
  2. Were they stung by the backlash? Perhaps it was the jolt they needed. Who says we don't have a role to play in this. We do make a difference.
  3. I'd have docked KDH a weeks wages after Black Friday. I might've given him some back today.
  4. I wouldn't say the first half was abysmal. I thought we picked it up well after they scored. Didn't panic and forced a deserved equaliser. Set the tone for the second half.
  5. Enzo making subs to keep the momentum going. Hopefully learnt from black Friday.
  6. Adrenaline still pumping
  7. He's been up to his armpits in nappies this week.
  8. Yes, got a knock in training. Probably back for the weekend.
  9. I'd probably rip Fridays starting line apart if it was up to me. But that might be considered knee-jerk and over dramatic. However, the likes of KDH, Faes and one or both of our wingers have to be hooked by half time at the latest if it's clear they are still in Bristol mode. We'll know within the first 10 minutes if Mavididi is on it. This is no time for patient wait and see. Get the subs on early to give us half a chance. At worst we need to go down fighting if we have any left in us.
  10. Are you logged in?
  11. Not sure if Coady is available tomorrow
  12. I don't know if you actually attend games in person, Trooky All of these accusations of entitlement that I've heard have come from Sky subscribers and armchair fans. It's very different being there after making the time/effort/cost and being emotionally involved. The worst fans will spout the same nonsense by sitting back, ignoring problems and switching off the telly after yet another shambolic performance. It's not that easy for some of us. I've largely kept a lid on it so far but Friday was a turning point for me and thousands of others. I'm angry but not entitled.
  13. I don't honestly know (or care). I turned my back and walked out the second the full time whistle went with the cressendo of boos ringing in my ears. Didn't give them a second glance.
  14. Were you at Ashton Gate yesterday? Our fans were absolutely behind the team until it was clear what was unfolding. The main show of anger/disappointment was resevered for full time. I will always back the team (I'll be driving 280 miles on Monday) whilst the game is on but not sure that I'll hold back if we get another shambolic performance. It's too much to watch that twice in 3 days and I'm at the end of my tether.
  15. I didn't see them get off the coach but I saw it in the first 3 minutes. You can tell almost immediately if Mavididi isn't right and can predict that he'll have another shocker. Right from the kick-off we were on the back foot. I did feel Fatawu's pain (or Fatto as the announcer called him, twice) as he was one of the few actually making an effort. The whole 6 week decline does seem to have coincided with the EFL/PL charges. Yet another fragile, weak mentality group of players.
  16. . I'm determined to be positive on Monday. I'll not moan (outwardly, at least) and will do my best to encourage the players during the game. If, however, we are treated to another effortless, awful, spineless performance in the space of 3 days then even I may lose it. I can boo and abuse as much as the next but will try to contain it. There is only so much I can take and I'm all most at it. 28 years ago?! And here we are again
  17. Yesterday it felt to me like a turning point. Not the team but amongst the fanbase. Some, apparently, were still behind applauding the players at full time. I wasn't one of those as I couldn't get out quick enough. I'd wasted enough effort on them already. I'm not the sort to boo but equally I won't give verbal credit to the players after a poor performance. Patience is wearing thin and momentum is building that may well come to a head on Monday if we see yet another awful performance. Those around at the infamous Sheff Utd match in '96 will know how a crowd can react. Times have changed but are we heading towards another of those turning points where the fanbase finally loses it?
  18. Was it Nahki Wells that outpaced Vestergaard from 3 yards behind? Ffs.
  19. He must not start on Monday. Don't want to see him in a City shirt again this season.
  20. I didn't even have the energy to boo. These players are not worth the effort. Fastest that I've been out of a stadium since Wycombe Wanderers. Deflated.
  21. Currently sitting on the platform in Bristol trying to take it all in. Honestly, this club has sucked the life out of me.
  22. I wanna go home, I wanna go home....
  23. I love Kingy but he shouldn't have got involved in that. Classless.
  24. It now looks more like a rugby stadium on TV which the angle just makes the lines look even more prominent. Pep thought it was some tactical advantage they were trying to gain! The old Ashton Gate was a run down dump but I suspect that it had more of a football feel and atmosphere than he new shiny version.
