I paid cash plus my trade-in for it. All about attitude to risk, I suppose. I've had a recommendation for a business that does the paint protection stuff so I'll probably give them a go. Annoyingly, there's a small crease on the edge of the front bumper that I pointed out but they said they wouldn't deal with it (it's a VW main dealer and I wasn't impressed with the salesman but I wanted the car, and he knew it). In hindsight I should've stood my ground and told them it was a deal breaker. I don't often buy cars as I keep them for as long as I can and, to be honest, got caught up in all the other negotiations.

Yes, I think it is about £499. Thing is, I want some sort of exterior and interior protection applied but now thinking I might go to an independent to get it done properly (and hopefully reasonably priced). Is gap insurance really worth it on a '22 plate car?
-
It's a '22 plate. That is my suspicion about these add-ons. I'll call them later.

Remember being chased all of the way back to the station in Stoke. Must've been about 74/75. The train was bricked everytime we got near a bridge and we pulled the blinds down to prevent flying glass from the smashed windows. I think that many went there to give abuse to Shilton who had moved there just before.

Picking up a Golf on Wednesday and got bombarded with 'extras' by the VW sales. From gap insurance to Autoglym protection to cosmetic chips cover (or something) to servicing to tyres, it goes on. Not committed to anything and don't know if I should. Any of them worthwhile?

What's your new car?
-
I went into the car minefield with an absolute top price that I was prepared to pay. Ended up spending £2k more. Always do it. Can't help myself. Just as well that I don't often change cars.

He said they lacked intensity and were too passive. Think we might've heard that one before.

Finally decided against a Puma eventhough it's Ecoboost has had a redesign. Just don't trust these Ford engines enough to spend my hard earned on one. Instead went for a 2022 plate VW Golf, R-Line. Collecting it next week. Enjoyed the test drive but now slightly concerned about all this touch screen stuff. Time will tell how I get on with it. Mrs Spud now scared to death to go out in her 2016 Ecoboost Fiesta. She's now desperately looking for a VW Polo or a Corsa. Expensive times.

Psychologically once you are in front then you have something to lose. The pressure doesn't feel as great for those in the chasing pack although it should be. I still feel psychologically damaged from the Premier League 2015/16 run-in by the thought we could've lost it when in reality it wasn't even close. The state of the human mind.

Whatever happened to him? -
You can't turn down international football when your country comes calling. This is especially true if those soon to be out-of-contract have indicated they will not re-sign. That said, it's going to be the usual difficulties trying to do transfer business in the winter window. Might be some loans to plug gaps.

Have a read of the Atmosphere thread. -
Hoping that McAteer and Yunus will be available for those 5 weeks. Don't know enough about Cannon yet and can't rely on Vardy's fitness. A run of injuries that we normally get around this time of the season could really derail us. We should at least be OK defensively.
-
It will most likely be given to Wilf which is a shame as he didn't know anything about it. It wasn't a deliberate attempt to score or involve any technique whereas Ricardo's was. The original shot was on target and we'll never know if the keeper would've saved it. If it deflected off a defender then surely Ricky would be credited.
-
Ahead of schedule? I thought that we shouldn't expect to see him before February. Good news if he's close to a return.
-
I was more worried on Wednesday that he was going to get a nasty injury the way the Millwall players were assaulting him.

Did our anthem, When you're smiling, just before kick-off sound good from your corner? -

Availability is a problem though. I tried to relocate lower in C Block as the climb up the steps wasnt doing me much good. Only seats available as a pair were on Row B. No way am I sitting down there.
