  1. It is when it's shouted in the face of a Jew.
  2. It's quite clear what the vile, antisemetic sentiment is behind that phrase. Can't prove it though.
  3. Dunno but he's lost the dressing room, fans and, like an injured player, Burnham get's better the longer he stays out. He's a dream ticket for opposition parties and Labour's demise will go further and faster than Tory's in 2024. They won't recover within most of our lifetimes.
  4. Sounds a bit prickleh.
  5. Bristol City?! Their fans did'nt shed a tear when he left. Most didn't like his style.
  6. We've seen before what happens when the Government reduce fuel duty. The petrol suppliers increase the per litre price by the amount reduced, drivers just pay the same and the suppliers pocket it
  7. When you say very little money to spend, it's most likely more than the rest of L1 combined.
  8. That was a shame. I didn't see last years brood fledge but didn't find any casualties when I cleared the box out. Just hope the local moggies didn't get them as they destroy wildlife around here
  9. Were the two that died being fed? Wondering if it's a lack of available caterpillars? I've been concerned about ours as they seem to be feeding them a lot of sunflower heart seeds which, although they won't starve, doesn't provide hydration. To assist, I put out some dried mealworms in a shallow dish soaking in water. They seem to prefer them to the dry seed but don't really know what's going on as I don't have a nest cam.
  10. Anyone seen it yet?
  11. Soulsby promised the Kate Street Champion's mural would be recreated on a prominent route into the city. Still waiting, Pete
  12. I only saw Banks twice as a nipper. Saw every one of Shilton's games at Filbert Street between 1970-71 until his move. Even saw his debut for Stoke at the old Victoria Ground. Saw the first two Lineker goals at Filbert Street (vs Sheff Utd) and most of the others. I was in here that day....
  13. Lineker was world class whilst at LCFC. Just wasn't recognised as such by the london/North West centric media. Same with Shilton. Banks was best keeper in the world in '66, that's not arguable.
  14. Yes, probably didn't make it clear. Thought that we could only sell 23,000 odd in previous seasons as a certain percentage had to be made available as match tickets? Perhaps different rules in L1?
  15. 26,474 season tickets is, I think, a couple of thousand more than previous seasons? The Season ticket number sold so far means the 'attendance' figure will never be announced as below 20,000 even if it's clearly barely close to that.
  16. I'd like to think this is just a snippet from a longer quote. Something like '......so I'm going put some effort in to get the club back up' but it probably isn't.
  17. I would think that Rowett is the fall-back option if a better candidate doesn't show up. They won't want to rule him out just yet and if the best they can attract is Darren fuching Ferguson then it's sensible.
  18. The timing couldn't have been any worse. Massive shame the 10-year anniversary coincides with club breaking it's own fanbase to the point that most don't want to celebrate the momumental achievement by the best players we have, or likely to again, ever seen wearing our badge. I would've been there under most circumstances but I'm not ready to return yet.
  19. Last club to win the League Cup at the original Wembley, even if it wasn't in the 90's!
  20. Or even just to get his fitness back up ready for the start of the season. Give's an extra bit of interest in the World Cup.
  21. Looking great. Top quality turf and so much better than the nasty plastic stuff. Just need a couple of nice small trees and shrubs to compliment it. Perfect
  22. A quick Google search confirms that we won't sign him as he's contracted until 2029 with no release clause. Next....
  23. Depends on his ambition. Don't know much about his attitude but he might attempt to force a move away. He'll get attention if he gets World Cup exposure. Would another club take a risk given his injury record? Certainly affect any transfer fee.
