RvN was a risk. We all knew that but got carried away with the euphoria of the Cooper sacking. It's failed, no coming back from this now. Likeable person (not many of those in football) but, with regret, has to go for the sake of our club.
Not read the fall out yet as only just got up after getting home at 1am. A46 closed, argghh.
Couldn't get a clear view from the other end but was Mads and Soumare involved in an altercation after the 4th ?
Got the feeling during the Arsenal match that it might finally be the day where the fans turn (as much as our flaccid fan base can). Hanging on for 80 minutes quashed that.
I don't think we'll hear anything now tonight or any game in this miserable season. Everyone seems to have given up, on and off the pitch and just resigned to the inevitable. Grim.
I'll be on my way at 3pm. Can't wait.
Spot on. Friday night at 8pm and a Sunday night at 7pm. That is exactly what's putting me off as well. Nothing will change until the attendances fall, and probably not even then as it's overseas audiences that call the shots.
It was sung (with jazz hands) in the early 70's when I started going down the City as a nipper. At that time we also sang YNWA with scarves up, usually after scoring or the final minutes when winning. Most teams did as it was a generic football anthem not just belonging to Liverpool.
You'd think that architects would be able to come up with something with at least a smidgeon of character given the modern software tools at their disposal. Just another concrete and steel (and plastic) dull, boring arena. Yet another money making venture
Just looking at the footage of the new Everton stadium. Inside it looks like a bigger version of ours. Certainly generate more income for the owners but won't improve the fan experience. Clubs with new stadiums never win trophies unless they are Leicester City. And ManC (obvs).
I think we could be seeing history in the making. No reason to suspect this will be anything different to the no goal sequence losses. What a time to be alive.
Cliff says they don't know anything about it and are not interested.
But he knows that Supporters Club members are not involved. Really? Has he asked them?
