I genuinely don't think we would have been any worse off if we had stuck with Ruud. I'm not a fan by any means but the managerial appointments have been totally shocking. I cba to list them but it makes for grim reading. Whoever comes next will suffer the same fate I feel unless its an older head with some "kick up the backside mentality" until the end of the season.

So who does he play? Ayew? The man who gets so much flack on here & is clearly not a centre forward. Daka? Who, despite being a striker cannot consistently control a football & is acknowledged as a joke by the fan base. Evans? A young winger who is clearly nowhere near what we need right now. I am by no means in the Marti fan club but the guy is on a hiding to nothing. Who the funk wanted Caranza? Possibly not Marti. The right striker who gives us 10 goals by now gives the whole team a completely different look. This team is so bereft of a striker its unbelievable.

I swear it was a loan with a £5 million obligation to buy. I must be misremembering.

Whilst he is not entirely blameless where would we be under Ruud or Cooper? I suspect pretty much the same position. The fact is the club has been hampered by diabolical recruitment for a number of years. I would be interested to see what kind of players Marti wants in January. Again whilst not blameless any manager coming in is stuck with the players we have.

When was the last time we had a decent striker other than Vardy?
