You're correct, definitely get receipts for parts and work carried out and photos of the accident damage, I forgot to mention this earlier and I did this with the cars and a couple of bikes I've bought. I'm also very familiar with working on cars, bikes, trucks, tractors etc. so fairly confident to make a judgement on whether I part with my hard earned. Normally, it's not an engine issue with cat S/N vehicles, more running gear, chassis and panels. I'd do it again if I needed to and found the right vehicle but there are lots of unscrupulous peeps out there and lots of dodgy cars for sale.

Yes. Had a couple over the years. Last one was a 2015 Mini Cooper sd bought in 2018 for my daughter, saved about 4k on list price and she still has it now. Never missed a beat, cost me a couple of tyres and a bulb in six years. Having said that, it’s always a risk, I would take a mechanic when you view it or get an AA check. I’ve heard of insurance being loaded but my daughters never seemed bad.

Apart from MOTD years ago, I’ve never watched any of the above 😂

Unless I’m mistaken, they should work as long as they are all on the same phase? Get a set from Amazon, if they don’t work just return them.

What’s Highcross like now? Heard recently that a lot of shops are boarded up but I might have the wrong place

I left Twitter not long after Musk took over. I watched my feed change massively over a very short period of time and decided then that his algorithm wasn't for me. I didn't replace it with anything and feel better for it. Used Facebook maybe for about a month many, many years ago but realised what a steaming pile that was. Have an IG account but never use it now as Meta messed that up too. Signed up to Bluesky last week but, as above, lot's of cat pics and AI landscapes. I will probably bin it too. They're all garbage imo.

Used to holiday in Sheringham and Cromer with my family as a kid. When I was 16 I had a girlfriend who’s Dad owned a caravan in Hunstanton so spent many weekends drinking in The Harlequin or the Wash and Tope. Went to Wells in the 80’s to see a rare bird (was a bit of a twitcher then). Will check out Suffolk. All hold fond memories so will definitely plan a visit early next spring.

I used to visit Wymondham for weeks in the summer as a kid, my friends grandparents had a farm there. It was like stepping back 50 years, I absolutely loved it. My wife has never visited anywhere east of England and I haven’t been for a few years, it’s now in my plans.

It’s hard as most farmers don’t want to change, partly due to cost but tradition plays a massive part. my house is surrounded by grazing on every side, all owned by the same farmer. He asks me in the spring/summer to keep any “weeds” down on my land, plants that I know are beneficial to wildlife. I compromise with him but his land is a monoculture, not even a daisy or dandelion grows 😡

I’d also be interested. I just know that after more than 40 years (on and off) of helping to gather data on flora and fauna that a very large proportion of losses can be attributed to modern agriculture practices.

Israeli media influence?

Been saying this for years, modern farming is a blight on our countryside and the environment. loss of habitat, overuse of pesticides and herbicides and overgrazing of sheep and cattle have a lot to answer for

@FoxesDeb It’s impossible for me to feel what you’re feeling, totally unimaginable. All I can say is that you are brave beyond words and I wish you all the best.
