Premier League has charged LCFC with an alleged breach of PSR
brookfox replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
If it is, I hope it’s Simply Pleasure. IYKYK! -
1:09, one of Vardys pre-match cans of Red Bull still just discarded in the corridor. Did we forget to bring the cleaners back from furlough?!

Sad reality is that to get back (and then move forward) on a better financial footing we’re going to have to revert to buy/promote > develop > sell for profit. Given away far too many assets (financial, debatable if some were footballing assets!) on a free in recent years. Kasey this summer appears a great case study of this, but in the future if/when it happens to Monga and/or Fatawu it’ll just be our position in the football hierarchy. Key is then to repeat and not shift the model.

Fair play to Ian Wright for wearing that hat so everyone has something to talk about at HT. -
AI summary of him fwiw. To put it simply, fans seem to view Francisco Vieites as a tall, solid shot-stopper who's had his moments, but not someone who instills full confidence for a top-tier starting spot just yet. Forum comments often highlight his size and some of the impressive saves he's made, especially during his limited chances with the first team, which gave a glimpse of his potential. However, there's a recurring theme of him being a bit "old school," with fans noting his preference for kicking the ball long rather than building from the back, which can be frustrating for those who want a modern, possession-based style of play. Ultimately, many see him as a reliable backup or a promising prospect for a lower-level team, but the general sentiment is that he's a player who needs consistent top-flight minutes to truly prove himself and iron out the inconsistencies that have been a concern.

Proper player, I’m going to get his name on the back of my shirt. Not even a football shirt, my regular work shirt. Will get my Mum to do it with her sewing machine

Just used a VPN to get onto FanHub. Don’t bother, just pics of middle aged men eating sausage rolls on the train as they travel to away games.

I got nearer to that cross than the Newport keeper!

LCFC left back Luke Thomas opening the scoring for Bristol.

Wife’s just asked what we’re doing this afternoon. Haven’t quite decided how to tell her I’m watching the Leicester Iniesta make his debut for Newport 🤩

Julián Carranza joins on loan - Official

Think it’s 4 parts blind optimism and 1 part detailed analysis of the available information on him, but I’ve convinced myself he’s going to be amazing! -

He's also captained Jamaica, Fulham and was one of their "group captains" of 5 senior players similar to what we have. So I'm hoping even if he's not playing he's a good influence in training and in the dressing room. Can barely remember seeing him play for us and ideally we wouldn't have signed him (or at least moved him on) but in the meantime will cross my fingers and hope he contributes this season. -

Speaks well but I wish they’d ask him the questions we want… Is it true you’re really slow, like even slower that Lineker on a bog? Why were you 4th choice in Holland? Do you honestly think you’re an upgrade on Daka? etc -
This I agree with. But I’d just read a whole page of messages debating the legality and morals of WFH and commuting so wanted to put that to bed (at Seagrave or home, personally I’m not bothered!).

The whole “Winks wouldn’t have a sleepover; hero or villain?” is such a futile debate as there’s different versions of the story none of us know. Maybe Ruud was unfairly scapegoating him to stamp his authority on the squad. Maybe Winks was frequently late to training. Maybe our sports science team spotted a significant drop in his performance due to sleep deprivation. Maybe Winks missed Enzo and was just being difficult to force a move. Maybe his wife had post-natal depression and he had to be at home for the good of his family. Etc etc. The one thing we do know is that an on form and motivated Winks is an asset in this division if we play a certain way. Will we see this Winks again? Again none of us know but for now we have a bit of cover for him and hopefully a manager who can get him back playing for the team.

Not sure where I read it, but sure I saw that while he's definitely not electric he has got fairly decent "rangy pace". That combined with his high defensive stats make me think (/hope) if anything he'll add to our press as opposed to detract from it. -
Wasn’t sure if it was a straight obligation or say an appearance based one but if you don’t mind then yes please. Unless it’s a straight obligation and there absolutely 0% chance he won’t sign for them in which case save your time!!

Big fan of your work… but we also have BEK out on loan technically.

GK: Stolarczyk, Begovic RB: Ricardo, Hamza CB: Vesty, Okoli, Nelson, Faes LB: VK, Thomas CM: Skipp, Soumare, Winks, JJ RW: Fatawu, BDCR AM: Ramsey, Ayew LW: Mavididi, Monga ST: Daka, Carranza Plus a few youngsters here and there to fill gaps. Lot riding on Carranza in particular but that’s not looking like a bad squad overall for the Championship. On the back of that, given our finances and including the new manager I’m giving it an 8/10.

So how are we all feeling now the window has closed.
brookfox replied to Suzie the Fox's topic in Leicester City Forum
Think a lot of our season (scarily!) rests on Carranza surprising us all. If he takes the 9 spot then I’d fully expect to see Ayew starting at 10 particularly while Ramsey gets up to speed. -

Probably not even left Seagrave for the entire time he’s been with us. Basically visited England for a 6 month spa holiday he got paid to have! -

Football wise it's 50:50, but he's got the kind of looks that could turn a Curly Wurly straight, so we're going to give him the benefit of the doubt. -

“Do you want a short or long sleeve shirt to play in Tony?” ”Both please” -
Aaron Ramsey who apparently isn't an old Welsh footballer, Carranza a 5'9" targetman from Argentina and Jordan James whose dad is unconfirmed as Sid James. Oh and we loaned Alves to Uddersfield.
