I dunno, given his history feel like a full season playing football is what he really needs. Realistically if he comes back he’ll be behind Winks, JJ, Skipp, Soumare and even Hamza and will get limited pitch time. If we can get him a decent L1 move it’d be ideal imo and he can come back next season when at least two of these are unlikely to be here and there’ll be room in the squad for him.

Great news. Feel like the club is starting to get on a much more positive trajectory both on and off the pitch.

If I had to add three (breaking the rules, sorry) that I don't think have been mentioned... 1) Get outside and connect with nature, it's great for the soul. If you get 15-20mins spare at lunch or in the evening, go for a walk in the park instead of mindlessly scrolling through social media. The colours are beautiful right now and it'll do loads for your mental and physical health. 2) Don't over-stretch yourself or get into debt for things that aren't important. You don't need a flash car, designer clothes, massive TV (or whatever it is) to make you happy and just because someone else has it doesn't mean you can/should. If you can't pay for it, don't get it. If you do have spare money save for something, spend it on an experience or invest it in an asset which will go up in value. 3) Think about your nutrition more and don't get fat (controversial maybe!). Learn to cook a meal, there's loads of amazing recipes online that are easy, healthy and sometimes less expensive than an ultra-processed pre-cooked alternative. Eat a diverse range of plants, it's great for your overall health. They don't always take long and again will have a big positive impact on your physical and mental health.

Tbh I thought there were a lot of positives to take despite the result: Winks, Faes and Ricardo back in the 11 and all looking good. James looked positive. Clearly an 8 not a 10 but should’ve scored and got into good positions. Decent cameo from Carranza. Overall the desire looks back. We’re not in the Prem so don't have to hear Rooneys expert analysis on us on MotM or experience VAR. The main questions seem to be what to do with Stephy and Ayew. Both have strengths but not firing currently.

Some decent touches and lay offs, moved well, got some power in his header. Definitely not 5’9”! Very early days but a promising debut and looks like he could be the 9 we need.

Probably not a coincidence that Fatawu with Ricardo in support looks more dangerous going forward than Mavadidi with Thomas behind. He’s very seldom supporting the attack down the left meaning Mav is often on his own vs 2 defenders. Not sure if it’s tactical or just ability/mentality.
