That stitch for his head looks gnarly. What happened?
-
Whoa whoa Woyo whoa whoa whoa. No.
-
I can't remember the exact quote, but when he was talking about that, he effectively admitted by omission that we need to play that way because we are incapable off the ball. I don't think it's the way he wants us to play, but he's identified that our shape and structure is shite off the ball. That may be what former managers have seen too, but he's the first to call it out as necessary rather than "the right way to play". I can respect that.
-
Why "off the pitch"?
-
Shit way for it to happen, but kind of relieved for the Owls now. They knew they were down, now that's over and done with they can just try to enjoy the rest of the season as much as they can. Maybe it'll speed up the takeover too, now relegation is officially confirmed. Mind, I'd like if this didn't give them a bounce when they face us 😅

Rowett spoke well post-match. He pointed out to the players and on the radio that whereas in previous weeks conceding a late equaliser has seen us completely collapse, or drop deep, today we pushed forward and looked the likelier winners. Maybe it's new manager bounce, but I have some hope that it's because of his influence. Hopefully with some more time on the training ground he can build a bit more mental toughness in the squad...and do something with our defence...

Yeah Mukasa hasn't done much, but hardly helped from not getting the ball high up the pitch from his teammates. The one good thing he's done is slide it across to Ricardo for that pot shot. If we had even one or two good defenders on the pitch that would be a something to build from. We just don't have any.
-
Clutching at straws, but since that break in play with Kristiansen and Rowett getting to huddle the players, the 11 on the pitch did seem marginally better. I'm sure Rowett is fuming.

If you don't laugh, you'll cry.

I know, I'm not being serious about it. It's bittersweet, at best.

So so pleased for Sammy. You love to see it. Things you also love to see: Faes conceding a pen for someone that isn't us (although not sure his audition at Monaco is going all that well, sadly).

Predictable.

Realistic Managerial Replacements
CloudFox replied to winteriscoming's topic in Leicester City Forum
Same. I am both exhausted and bored by all of this now. Sounds daft, but I've muted most ways I was tracking news on us for the time being. It's all just noise, no substance—on and off the pitch. -
5 losses in 6. I'm not sure the last time that happened to us at this level. Maybe under Sousa? I'm at loss for the future of this club. League One is going to kill us financially, and with the current squad we'll only keep falling further.
-
3 losses in a row, 2 red cards and one 8 goals conceded. We are already down now IMHO, but if he's still in charge for the next game, there's really nothing left to hang on to this season. If there even has been for a while now.

LCFC 3-4 Southampton, post-match thread
CloudFox replied to Phil Mitchell's topic in Leicester City Forum
I'd genuinely just take an automatic 3-0 loss at this point. Would be less embarrassing. -
I'm going to sound dramatic, but I think that's the nail in the coffin. Going into this run of games, that is a piledriver to the confidence. We're buried.
-
And so it was written. ****.

Look at that pressure and attacking intent from Southampton in the second half. Why the hell can't we play more than 45 minutes of football? It can't be fitness...it's got to be a mentality thing, surely.
-
They're going to win this 'n' all, aren't they.
-
As soon as they scored the first you could see this coming. FFS. Just when you start to hope a little...
-
That is completely on King. Went defensive, invited pressure, lo and behold we concede two more. This club is an embarrassment.
-
Where do you see those draws, let alone wins, coming from? We haven't won in 5 games, 4 losses on the trot, and haven't kept a clean sheet in 25(?) league games. Please share, because anything to spark some optimism or hope right now is desperately welcome.

I thought this too! And quick to boot. Start him up front and there'd actually be someone to try and get on the end of any crosses/passes Mavididi and Fatawu manage to get into or just ahead of the box...seems a very simple thing to test out...
