That's me done for the night. This team isn't worth wasting energy on any more.
-
Oh boy. Here we go.
-
I love the idea, but I think it's too early. Sammy needs game time. Being a bit part player for us this season wouldn't help him. He is almost definitely not going to be ahead of Winks and JJ. Unfortunately not even Skipp. And that's okay—his time will come. A League One loan would be ideal.
-
First stop: Send Carranza back, loan Joël Piroe. I'm quite liking what Harry Amass is up to at Wednesday as a LB option...but taking from Wednesday feels a bit like stealing candy from a baby 😬. Anyone got any LB suggestions? I'm a little concerned by Ramsey's injury...so we may need to get another CAM in too. Those three have to be the focus areas. And if we can ship out the likes of Soumaré and Skipp, all the better. I'd say the same of Faes, but...he does have some value at this level.
-
I really would like us to support Fuchs, so if we do choose to bring Sammy back you'd hope we could loan out others to Newport instead. Cartwright doesn't seem to be getting as much game time at Falkirk, so could move him to Newport and Sammy to an L1 team? Although if it's season long, I'd imagine Sammy might have to stay at Newport.

The ref kept asking the lino?
-
Southampton scoring 4 goals in 7-8 minutes was not on my bingo card today. Blimey.
-
Joël Piroe? 19 Goals, 7 assists last season, and was consistent years before that. Just 270 minutes and 0 goal contributions this year. We were apparently interested before Leeds got him.

'I Want People To Be Closer' - Khun Top Speaks
CloudFox replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
Look, I want to withhold judgment if this is the start of more communication, but his main point is that he wants to be closer...while sat in Thailand having flown the media team out to him to conduct the interview. I get it, he now runs King Power too, where he's needed. But would surely have been cheaper to just fly himself over for a quick 'round trip, and the optics of him sat in Seagrave would have been far better. I don't like that he mentioned that "we can't win every game". Yeah, no shit Sherlock, even the most short sighted fan doesn't expect that. It's the state of our decline and lack of competitiveness that has pissed everyone off. Our expectation as a fan base has never been to win every game. I appreciate that he said it "may be his fault", but he kept repeating that, which doesn't exactly scream accountability either. You're a leader: Own it. Crazy that by his own admission he hasn't spoken to the Fan Advisory Board since King Power first bought the club. I thought at least a couple of conversations would have happened in the wake of our title win even... Sorry, bit of a moan there. Just hope this is the start of more comms and transparency rather than a flash in the pan. -
Cross to Carranza, as I'm genuinely not sure anyone has yet . Tackle Ayew as he'd either go down easy and win us a foul, or offer very little in the way of fight to win the ball off him. Celebrate with Daka, as he actually has a fun celebration.
-
That's absolutely fair, and I'm sure he will work on that. In the meantime, his defenders need to be aware of that, and compensate accordingly.
-
Same. Saying nothing would have been better than this statement. The alleged chants sound vile, so don't give them oxygen. If this is the only thing they respond to after almost constant silence, what message does this statement send?
-
If the chant others have quoted in this thread is what was sung, that's horrible. Wishing death on anyone is awful. However, as others have also pointed out, there's no real acknowledgement here (as ever) from the club as to why this might be being sung. There are plenty of twats in our fan base and at games, but to my knowledge, this is the first time this has been sung. Surely that speaks to the frustration in the fan base? I mean even acknowledging supporter frustration and anger while condemning the chants would have showed some awareness. This just reads as "some people want to kill our DoF". Stupid from those fans who sang it, but tone deaf from the club for not acknowledging—even for a second—why things have got to this point of extremity. And I think people are right: This will probably make it worse.
-
Which supporters groups have come out and said anything...? And what on earth was sung that's got the club's knickers in a twist? I thought it was that Rudkin out related.

Bobby De Cordova-Reid joins permanently - Official
CloudFox replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
He got flack last season because he wasn't good enough for the PL any more. And Cooper kept playing him on the wing. After overcoming an injury, he looks much fitter this season, and is one I can genuinely see as being good enough at this level. Fingers crossed he can keep making the kind of impact he made today, and we'll start thinking of him a bit more fondly. He's not an Ayew (who is hard to like because he prevents us using an actual CF), and Skipp (who was never good enough for his price tag, and now it's a millstone considering he should be a squad player at best). Well done today Bobby, very pleased for him. -
The fact he keeps playing Ayew as a starter is unfathomable. Playing JJ as a 10 doesn't get the best out of him. There was, once again, little evidence of that pressing and attacking he promised us when he got here. He needs to go, this result sadly changes nothing.
-
He cares. He really ****ing cares, you can tell. We need more JJs. And please let that be the end of him being shoehorned into the #10 role. He is clearly a skillful player, but he is so much better as an #8, crashing the box and being EVERYWHERE. Such a shame Ramsey is out until probably the New Year. With time I feel like those two will hugely benefit each other, especially with Winks as the conductor.
-
Ayew really doesn't offer anything for the team does he. Sigh. You can tell we're the two worst teams in terms of form.
-
I agree with all of this, but we played a completely different style. We played like he promised we would: Front foot, pressing in packs, attacking. Regardless of the quality of opposition, we've not seen that since. It makes zero sense.

LCFC 1-1 Middlesbrough, post-match thread
CloudFox replied to Phil Mitchell's topic in Leicester City Forum
Awful. What a ridiculous way to concede. I don't like overly trashing our players, but I really do have an irrational dislike for Ayew. I know he scored, but watching him infuriates me. -
Enough is enough. He's got to go.
-
Unforgivable.
-
You're perfectly right to state all these facts, and you're right, we need to keep these in mind. My concern is they we have yet to put in a single full decent 45 minutes this season, let alone 90 minutes. And we seem to be getting worse, game by game. I'm not sure how we stop that rot between now and January.
-
I know you're joking, and I would never have seriously considered actually making this a reality...but at this point I'm convinced we wouldn't be any worse off for it 😅.
