Bert Posted 4 May 2015 Posted 4 May 2015 Give you over you plonker. Seems you've also forgot how to make a sentence sound right. Get off your high horse Bertram, if you know everything go on Mastermind. Not on a high horse, just dealing in facts. Not saying I know everything. Just that I know more than you....
kingfox Posted 4 May 2015 Author Posted 4 May 2015 Not on a high horse, just dealing in facts. Not saying I know everything. Just that I know more than you.... Prove it then Bertram.
Jimothy Posted 4 May 2015 Posted 4 May 2015 This is gonna be a late finish if they carry on like this!
Jimothy Posted 4 May 2015 Posted 4 May 2015 This frame is never going to finish Think they should play next pot wins!
StanSP Posted 4 May 2015 Posted 4 May 2015 Mammoth snookers there from Bingham. And then getting out with ease of ones that Murphy put him on. That frame would have been so draining.
Jimothy Posted 4 May 2015 Posted 4 May 2015 There's probably been sessions at the Crucible shorter than that frame!
Steve_Guppy_Left_Foot Posted 4 May 2015 Posted 4 May 2015 Don't think it was the longest this year though, Robertson had one go on for over 70 minutes.
Corky Posted 4 May 2015 Posted 4 May 2015 Cracking performance, deserved winner. Knocked out the favourites on the way.
Jimothy Posted 4 May 2015 Posted 4 May 2015 Great moment when he covered his wife's ears when the announced he'd won £300k.
Bert Posted 4 May 2015 Posted 4 May 2015 What's your highest break, Bert?58 mate... Although that doesn't mean you have knowledge of the game.
AKCJ Posted 4 May 2015 Posted 4 May 2015 Chuffed for the bloke. I kept doubting him and he kept on proving me wrong. Not on a high horse, just dealing in facts. Not saying I know everything. Just that I know more than you.... Jesus. As if anyone would want to get into an "I know more than you" argument with KingFox. Get a grip man.
DennisNedry Posted 4 May 2015 Posted 4 May 2015 Murphy lost his head in the final frame. Took on a very risky pot and got away with fluking the red, then missed another stupidly risky shot to give Bingham the chance to win at one visit which he did. Bingham deserved it for his safety play alone.
Steve_Guppy_Left_Foot Posted 5 May 2015 Posted 5 May 2015 58 mate... Although that doesn't mean you have knowledge of the game. No, but I'm wondering what does constitute as 'knowledge' in your book? Being old? Going to the snooker a lot? Making a century? Being intelligent?

Bert Posted 5 May 2015 Posted 5 May 2015 No, but I'm wondering what does constitute as 'knowledge' in your book? Being old? Going to the snooker a lot? Making a century? Being intelligent?Certainly not being old. I'm 27.... But knowing what shots to play and when, how to play with side etc, when you're at the table you've gotta be thinking all types of scenarios, 3/4 shots ahead of where you are now, where am I gonna leave my opponent should I miss my next pot, if I do miss what is the table like in way of what damage could my opponent do, if I'm not confident of the pot am I better playing safe waiting for a better chance. These guys make it look so simple but sometimes you can go half an inch wrong with position, put too much side, top spin, or screw on the cue ball and get in all sorts of bother. The sort of stuff I can bet a lot of people don't even give a second thought to when they're watching on tv. You've got to have some sort of intelligence to have a good Knowledge of snooker, playing side for instance, if you play the cue ball with the wrong amount of side it could cost you a frame. You need to know about all sorts of angles for getting out of snookers or planning your next positional shot. What about say when you're 65 points behind and there's 67 remaining? There's so many scenarios to think about.
Steve_Guppy_Left_Foot Posted 5 May 2015 Posted 5 May 2015 So basically what any serious Snooker fan will be fully aware of? Don't see why you are on a high horse about snooker knowledge, just enjoy the sport.
