Ranieri has just said that this is 'just speculation'.

Seeing as we aren't going to get him, what would you expect him to say? If we weren't interested he would simply state that. He can't say that because we clearly tried to or did make a bid.

I imagine that this is his standard response to any name that Radio Leicester throw at him.  He's a respected manager who does things in a professional way.  He's not Harry f'n Redknapp.

To be honest hope we miss out on him now, teach us a lesson for not making a bid before west Brom. If there is any truth in the rumours in the other thread about veretout then were trying to do the same when Villa are in for him.

Learning our lesson is far more important than getting in another player. Who cares if we don't get the player? As long as the club learns something that's all that matters

Why not go for Virgil at Celtic?

Would we have to sign Scott, Alan, Gordon and John too?

West Brom have completed the signing of Hull City defender James Chester.

The 26-year-old, who was also interesting Leicester City, has signed a four-year deal for an undisclosed fee.

Baggies head coach Tony Pulis told West Brom's official website: "James did very well for Hull City. I've had a good chat with him and he's the type of player I like.

"He's young, a strong character, a good defender, he has good feet and he has the Manchester United stamp all over him, just like (Stoke City's) Ryan Shawcross and Darren Fletcher. They're wonderful lads and I'm told James is as well."
