foxoffderby Posted 10 July 2015 Posted 10 July 2015 Can we see the likes of Izzet, Guppy, S Walsh, N Lennon and M Elliot coming back as coaches ? Or do we move on with what we've got?
Harry - LCFC Posted 10 July 2015 Posted 10 July 2015 Given that they aren't qualified coaches I think it's more than a little unlikely. This is just nostalgia going to the head.
Bagworthblue Posted 10 July 2015 Posted 10 July 2015 Given that they aren't qualified coaches I think it's more than a little unlikely. This is just nostalgia going to the head. most of them are actually and many are coaching in leics BUT .... No way :-)
foxoffderby Posted 10 July 2015 Author Posted 10 July 2015 Guppy has coaching qualifications. Walsh and muzzy still live in the area would they be involved? Would MON take Guppy and Lennon ?
Poiseuille Posted 10 July 2015 Posted 10 July 2015 Think Emile Heskey may still be available. We could do with another target man...
Bagworthblue Posted 10 July 2015 Posted 10 July 2015 Guppy has coaching qualifications. Walsh and muzzy still live in the area would they be involved? Would MON take Guppy and Lennon ? , Walsh, Muzzy and Matt all coach kids locally as does Ian Marshall. We need to keep shakey and Walsh snr - we need to keep as much of what we have built in tact as possible. Good players who take caching badges don't all become good coaches!!!
separator Posted 10 July 2015 Posted 10 July 2015 As much as I love what MON did for us, is he really an improvement on NP. This would be a step sideways, not an improvement imo.
foxes_rule1978 Posted 10 July 2015 Posted 10 July 2015 It's about keeping the successful back room staff we have, O'Neill just needs to move us forward , not revamp... the style we play is very similar to what O'Neill likes to use, we have pace , and players able to put the ball into a dangerous area... with Ulloa a very capable finisher
Poiseuille Posted 10 July 2015 Posted 10 July 2015 Actually, which players which played under MON could actually return to the club? Not that they will, or that they're good enough, but who could? I can only think of Heskey.

Bagworthblue Posted 10 July 2015 Posted 10 July 2015 Actually, which players which played under MON could actually return to the club? Not that they will, or that they're good enough, but who could? I can only think of Heskey. nah Lennon already made that mistake

Walsh has always wanted to be involved at City. He may take it up with MON as boss. Agree with muzzy hes got young kids

biggs Posted 10 July 2015 Posted 10 July 2015 As much as I love what MON did for us, is he really an improvement on NP. This would be a step sideways, not an improvement imo. Were we actually looking for an improvement on NP. Most on here would have loved Pearson being our manger starting this upcoming season. I'll take sideways right now if that's what it is.
foxoffderby Posted 10 July 2015 Author Posted 10 July 2015 The current coaching set up at the club is both stable and competent. I would be more concerned about that being broken up than I was about losing NP! Can't see Shakey being here for much longer
foxoffderby Posted 10 July 2015 Author Posted 10 July 2015 hes at Bolton with Lennon if mon becomes director of football and lennon first team coach perhaps?
4everfox Posted 10 July 2015 Posted 10 July 2015 As much as I love what MON did for us, is he really an improvement on NP. This would be a step sideways, not an improvement imo. As much as I love what Pearson did for us, is Martin O'Neill an improvement on Pearson? Hell yeah he is.
separator Posted 10 July 2015 Posted 10 July 2015 explain? If he wasn't a foxes legend would he even be on the radar? This whole thing just stinks of the board getting desperate to find a manager to appease the fans after their first name choice turned them down
foxychik Posted 10 July 2015 Posted 10 July 2015 Actually, which players which played under MON could actually return to the club? Not that they will, or that they're good enough, but who could? I can only think of Heskey. Jordan Stewart .....https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/San_Jose_Earthquakes
