Mansfield v Leicester- This Saturday

Good post. The usual suspects completely missing the point as usual. I'm not being doom and gloom because we draw with Mansfield, I honestly don't give a shit, I'm doom and gloom because we are quite blatantly unprepared with just two weeks until the season's opener.

There's just no balance at the minute and the amount of players expressing a lack of interest in joining us is concerning me, a lot.

Yeah exactly. Results in pre season are largely irrelevant but the fact we were are so short in midfield is indisputable!

And yes I don't doubt they are trying to address this but they need to get a move on because it's less than 2 weeks now and if we sign a couple of playersthey need to be integrated into the squad m

People can call it negative all they like but it's a fact.

Just looked through the teamsheets for last seasons games upto the end of September and our midfield was largely a combination of King, Drinkwater, Mahrez, Hammond and latterly Cambiasso. Cambiasso debuted away at Stoke as a substitute and was present in the Utd win at home but also the disappointing defeat that followed away at Palace.

I guess my point is that whilst we all recognise the need to bolster the midfield, with the transfer window open until the end of August and the new manager still feeling his way through the squad there really is no need to go out and make a couple of panic buys. The players we have within the squad now have premiership experience and should be good enough to see us through this early period of the season whilst squad aquisitions and adjustments are made.

The early trick will be if the manager recognises the players strengths and weaknesses and can set them up correctly against our opponents whilst continuing to gain the valuable knowledge he will require to reach the clubs targets for the season.

Wow that was so bad, first twenty minutes were okay, for the rest of the game it was a drag, nothing really inspiring or any sort of positives came out that for me. Maybe only a pre season game, however I did expect better. The back looked really dodgy again, that is the may concern at the moment.

Noticed quite a few left at half time and can I blame them?

Did anyone come across that mad drunk bitch wearing a celtic top on the station, basically going around on her insulting Leicester fans and the police.

Speaking of Mansfield, remember this guy!

Not sure which one is more deluded!

I saw her walk on the platform, the insults started straight away, plod moved down to the end of the shelter she was in and I hope they were waiting for the one thing they could arrest her with to happen. I don't think it did but she was certainly getting close to the line with the filth coming out her awful gob.

What's more when she was born I reckon she fell out the ugly tree from the top branch and was beaten all the way to the floor.

Horrible person.

Only a friendly, yep; but that was crap. We played with one (****ing ONE) recognised central midfielder in the first half and that was Dean Hammond; already seen we've glossed over it with the usual 'ah, it's only pre-season, good run-out' ballsack every manager does - but we are desperately short of top tier quality in the middle of the park and it will bite us on the arse unless it's sorted before the opener.

Chilwell looked by far and away the best of the youngsters despite some good set pieces from Barmby, Lawrence tried too hard at times, it seemed. Felt sorry for Kramaric and Okazaki feeding off scraps for an hour, though the latter showed some nice touches at times and Kramaric did well for the goal.

Got an awful feeling we're gonna line up in a formation that completely ruins these players come a fortnight, I'm still trying to figure out how we lined up first half today.

Good post. If we dont add a quality CM or two we are in trouble!! Last season was a very difficult start ,fixture wise, this season its an awful end so we cannot afford a slow start. It is just stupid to have a strike force that started yesterday costing approx £18 million have give them NO service.

Exactly, the police stopped her from getting on the train in the end. She was swinging back cans and cans of carlsberg and she only looked about 13/14.

Sounds like she wanted the night in the cells aka a warm and relatively safe bed for the night.

Not posted for a bit but a draw in a pre season friendly means nowt. Absolutely nowt.

I suspect we'll see something near to our first 11 for the Brum game.
