Bluearmyfox28 Posted 26 July 2015 Posted 26 July 2015 Who gives a shit what they do?! I certainly don't. Without they're investment since they've arrived we wouldn't be in the position we are today. They could post a weekly polo update on the official website as long as they keep getting that cheque book out then I'm happy!!
Soar Fox Posted 26 July 2015 Posted 26 July 2015 Some on here are unreal tbh. You seem to think you run the football club. I keep hearing all this 'the supporters own the club' nonsense. Ermmmmmm no. You go and watch a football team funded by millionaires. Without wealthy owners we would be in league 1. Without Nigel Pearson we'd probably be in league one.
Carl the Llama Posted 26 July 2015 Posted 26 July 2015 Nigel I love you, but I'm not going to get upset over a Polo trophy for you.
filbertfoxy00 Posted 26 July 2015 Posted 26 July 2015 LCFC fans on the internet moaning for moaning sake? Never! Let's face it, some our lot are only happy when they've got something negative to say. Strange folk but hey ho.
SystonFox Posted 26 July 2015 Posted 26 July 2015 As I have already said; As it goes I don't actually have that much of a problem with it (And don't believe I have posted that I have an issue with it ), I don't agree nor disagree with their publication of this but I can understand why people are moaning due to the ultimately damaged relationship. No doubt Matt, the relationship has been damaged and it's a real shame but for people to be kicking off big time about this is just ridiculous. Let them get on with pushing their business forwards whilst continuing to fund our premier league survival hopes. Just can't please some
filbertfoxy00 Posted 26 July 2015 Posted 26 July 2015 Of course, the Internet is much better used by middle aged blokes posting pics of drunk people in various states of distress or otherwise. Strange folk, but hey ho!
CosbehFox Posted 26 July 2015 Posted 26 July 2015 Some on here are unreal tbh. You seem to think you run the football club. I keep hearing all this 'the supporters own the club' nonsense. Ermmmmmm no. You go and watch a football team funded by millionaires. Without wealthy owners we would be in league 1. Personally I never said the supporters own the club, I have said the supporters are the club. After all when the clubs go pop or go in administration, who does all the hard work to keep clubs going at least in the interim? It was certainly the case at this club when administration occurred. The fans are the only consistent a football club has.
Guest ttfn Posted 26 July 2015 Posted 26 July 2015 I only wish that in the dark years of 04-06 we had regular updates on Jim McCahill's village cricket team to raise the spirits.
????? Posted 26 July 2015 Posted 26 July 2015 Really don't see why people are getting so wound up about this
inckley fox Posted 26 July 2015 Posted 26 July 2015 Really don't see why people are getting so wound up about this I don't think they are! The point is that it's sort of irrelevant, but nobody should lose any sleep over it.
Guest Bob Hazels shorts Posted 27 July 2015 Posted 27 July 2015 Some sad individuals on here. Why shouldn't the owners promote the King Power brand, unless i'm missing something the success of that company has set up us very nicely, regardless of who's manager. They don't travel 6-7'000 miles and whack in millions without a bit of promotion. Why the issue?

They don't travel 6-7'000 miles and whack in millions without a bit of promotion. Why the issue? They do, they've got their name plastered over every inch of the stadium, they've renamed the stadium to promote their brand, they've got their logo front and centre on the kit... think that's probably enough to be honest. And I don't particularly see how the owners hobby deserves a place on the website, or how it promotes their brand in a country where nobody gives a shit about polo.
Fox Ulike Posted 27 July 2015 Posted 27 July 2015 If this article had been published after our championship title parade the replies would be "we r MASSVIE!!!!!1!!!!1!1!1!!!1!1!1!1111!!!!!one!!!!!!!! M8!!!!" But now Pearsons gone and Cambiasso isn't coming back all of a sudden our owners are the worst thing since Vincent Tan, our kit will be pure gold next season and we will have relocated to Bangkok. Anyone who didn't realise that our owners are using us to drive their own company is, simply put, naive. We are just a marketing tool. The premier league is one of the biggest platforms in the world to get your name out there and they helped to get us here which, let's be honest, we were all loving. But now it isn't so rosey with big Nige gone and no centre midfielders we aren't such big fans of our owners. Yet again more football fans in being fickle shocker True. But so is every other football club. The difference is that most clubs choose which sponsor they want, and that sponsor fits in with the culture of the club. I don't remember Walkers Crisps fielding a polo team wearing our shirts then splashing it on the club website as if it was of any relevance. With Hull, Cardiff (and increasingly now with us), the relationship is turning the other way around. That is, the club has to change to fit in with the colours, name and culture of the corporate company. And that's simply not right. The reason this is on the website is because the owners are planting the seed of the name change that they would eventually like to see happen. Personally i'd prefer to be Leicester City in League One than the King Power Foxes in the Champions League.
Hungry Hungry Fox Posted 27 July 2015 Posted 27 July 2015 I must be the only one that feels a touch of pride because of this

Rincewind Posted 27 July 2015 Posted 27 July 2015 Maybe the report was filling up space on the website. They could have put another rumoured story on. I can understand the complaints if it was a Nottingham team that won the cup and bragging about it. If they had beaten a Nottingham side people would be singing the praises. I never knew there was a Foxes polo team. Just a thought. By promoting polo there may be people who did not take much interest in football let alone LCFC suddenly start looking us up and follow the progress of the team. Polo may be bigger in Thailand as is the KP brand so surely anything that promotes the brand will have a knock on effect on all things connected with it. Maybe they should have put a small piece with a link to the article but where that would be I do not know. Did any major newspaper run the story? Is there a polo match result web page or would they create a web page just for this? How many would Polo cup result? Does anyone buy Polo News? If it was not reported on some would complain that the club did not care about promoting the brand and looking for a way out. Polo Times The match report is here. Dont know if it is the same one as posted on the clubs page. If it is they just copy and pasted. There is also an official polo website.
Hungry Hungry Fox Posted 27 July 2015 Posted 27 July 2015 Some people on here make Morrissey look happy, and he hasn't even got a stitch to wear
Kitchandro Posted 27 July 2015 Posted 27 July 2015 Some on here are unreal tbh. You seem to think you run the football club. I keep hearing all this 'the supporters own the club' nonsense. Ermmmmmm no. You go and watch a football team funded by millionaires. Without wealthy owners we would be in league 1. What a dreadful post. Without fans there would be no club to own, and it certainly wouldn't be attractive to billionaire owners if there was. That's besides the fact a lot of poorer clubs are very competitive in the Championship, and that the Thais took us over whilst we were in the Championship.
Hungry Hungry Fox Posted 27 July 2015 Posted 27 July 2015 I'd rather us be rich, competitive and successful, than poor and competitive, and I'm sure most sensible fans feel the same
