inckley fox Posted 26 July 2015 Posted 26 July 2015 This isn't aimed at people "missing Pearson" - I didn't want him sacked but I wouldn't join in with this. It's the new manager's first game in charge and he should be welcomed and backed. That sums it up for me. Ranieri needs a fair chance. I have no idea whether Pearson-for-Ranieri will work out like Pearson-for-Sousa or Sven-for-Pearson, but I can understand why some might foresee trouble ahead. What you can't do is fulfil that prophecy by kicking up the biggest fuss imaginable. But it does look a bit like a piss-take, on review.
AyewJoking Posted 26 July 2015 Posted 26 July 2015 Anyone who boycotts should be banned for life from the ground. Inbred morons. Newcastle fans doing it is understandable to a degree but **** sake we were in league one not so long ago get a grip. Who was manager when we went straight back up? Boycotting, refusing to back the new regime may not be the best way to react but are we supposed to just accept whatever goes on and continue paying our money?
The Doctor Posted 26 July 2015 Posted 26 July 2015 Interesting that the support the club at all times people now are the same people that were doom and gloom and demanding pearson out for the past three years... Hypocrisy, thy name is.

Hypocrisy, thy name is. It's curious to see the thread titled 'For all of you missing Pearson' - as if they're not, and we shouldn't be missing Pearson. Maybe they're right. Onwards and upwards and so on. History, I suppose, will be the judge of that.
NotTheMarketLeader Posted 26 July 2015 Posted 26 July 2015 Who was manager when we went straight back up? Boycotting, refusing to back the new regime may not be the best way to react but are we supposed to just accept whatever goes on and continue paying our money? Yes. As a fan you are. Considering you no not exactly why Pearson was sacked.
MC Prussian Posted 26 July 2015 Posted 26 July 2015 I can sympathize with the notion, but not the action/execution. Superfluous to say the least.
Callabinho Posted 26 July 2015 Posted 26 July 2015 The irony is that all of those planning this boycott were probably booing Nigel through the low points last season. Soapbox Heroes.
inckley fox Posted 26 July 2015 Posted 26 July 2015 Yes. As a fan you are. Considering you no not exactly why Pearson was sacked. Basically I agree with you - get behind the manager, team, even the board. Give them the time to show it was the right decision. And, if it turns out it wasn't, choose the right time to say it. Like on a forum, or after the game, not booing or chanting 'one Nigel Pearson' during the match.
jimmeh Posted 26 July 2015 Posted 26 July 2015 Imagine boycotting against the owners all down to pearson my arse. Who on earth funded the high wages in the championship. The likes of matty James and Danny drinkwater were on high wages for youth players at man u. Why do you think no one else bought them. We spent a lot of money with pearson in charge

We spent a lot of money with pearson in charge Okay, so he took us up 31 overall league placings. For 11 of those he spent a lot of money, thanks to the board and the promotion he'd earned for us previously, while for the first 20 he spent next to nothing.
Matt Posted 26 July 2015 Posted 26 July 2015 Imagine boycotting against the owners all down to pearson my arse. Who on earth funded the high wages in the championship. The likes of matty James and Danny drinkwater were on high wages for youth players at man u. Why do you think no one else bought them. We spent a lot of money with pearson in charge Hang on, hang on, When I went on the Carlton Cole thread and was throwing my toys out the pram moaning about Ranieri and who we're being linked with, I had replys saying Ranieri isn't making the signings, and Pearson didn't either, now when it suits you're saying Pearson did sign them (Or atleast your pointing the finger at him for the money spent on them) I can't remember who was responding to me saying all that though, hmmmmm i'm wracking my brain trying think.... Oh....It was you. Make your mind up. What an idiot. You believe this rumour really? Ranieri isn't making signings. Pearson didn't either. We have enough strikers and are bidding for Charlie Austin. It's obviously coles agent
Sharpe's Fox Posted 26 July 2015 Posted 26 July 2015 If he wants to make his opinion known why shouldn't he? I will be attending the Sunderland game as normal and will be cheering on the lads as normal but I am of the same opinion as Billy and wish him luck. Unfortunately I'm to much of a sheep and want to watch my team play In my opinion most of you lot will be wanting Ranieri out in a few months anyway because of the constant tinkering of the side and the reduction in work rate of the players during a bad run, so I wouldn't call him an idiot just yet.
tomtom Posted 26 July 2015 Posted 26 July 2015 So everyone is falling for this guff sent from a dubious Twitter account set up 24hrs ago???

Pearson wouldn't have got us promoted without the owners forking out a lot of money.
jimmeh Posted 26 July 2015 Posted 26 July 2015 Who's said it was all down to Pearson? Well obviously the boycotter.
Guest Mee-9 Posted 26 July 2015 Posted 26 July 2015 They can give me their ****ing ticket then. Hope they boycott.
foxfanazer Posted 26 July 2015 Posted 26 July 2015 Well obviously the boycotter.Oh sorry I've only seen that tweet, didn't know he'd said anything else

Pearson wouldn't have got us promoted without the owners forking out a lot of money. My point is according to you Ranieri can't be blamed for who we (Might) sign and spend money on yet Pearson can.
