The Blur Posted 4 August 2015 Posted 4 August 2015 the list isn't appearing for me, could someone post it and maybe spoiler it so it doesn't clog up the page? It is same for me, someone get this done pronto please. BoneDog Posted 4 August 2015 Posted 4 August 2015 Yeah same problem here and I want to see what useless twaddle they are forcing the kids to read nowadays.
Rincewind Posted 4 August 2015 Posted 4 August 2015 I still have worked out which is a boy and which is a girl, and I have read dozens of them with my daughter in the past years. Get your eyes tested Ken, and tell them reading makes you tired. I have regular eye tests and pass OK. Maybe I should not read so much in pubs.
BoneDog Posted 4 August 2015 Posted 4 August 2015 Maybe I should not read so much in pubs. The duller lighting in pubs could possibly be straining your eyes. Have you got one of those miners lights that you wear over the head? Could come in handy for the pub. I use one for reading in bed, smart and handy bit of kit.
Larry_LCFC Posted 5 August 2015 Posted 5 August 2015 I really got into Andy Mcnab. Very good. The boy solider series.

Bonedog, the link is working for me now so do give it a go.
Oxfordfox83 Posted 11 August 2015 Posted 11 August 2015 22 for me. Can't believe Hunger Games Trilogy is on there-utter, utter shite. Can't believe no Dahl and no Dumas. But then the Times is Murdochy rubbish...

Cheers I checked the link the other day when I saw your reply while browsing, and it worked. It was just as disappointing as I expected but I won't go into why. Youngsters should be reading things like Machiavelli's The Prince and Spinoza's Tractatus Theologico Politicus, not the blummin claptrap on that list.
bovril Posted 11 August 2015 Posted 11 August 2015 Only about 10, though I still have 3 years of school left
Webbo Posted 11 August 2015 Posted 11 August 2015 I started 3 of those, of which I never finished 2 of them. Tbf some of those books weren't written when I was at school(not the Dickens books )
