In the words of David O'Doherty

People with iPhones, stop trying to show me what it can do, I couldn't give a $hit, they've been around for years. When will you realise the truth, there is no app for loneliness!

Waiting for people with Samsungs to come and tell us how better their phones are. I think if we wanted a samsung people would have bought one already.

I had a 6 month affair with Android and I'm now back in a happy relationship with Apple.

Never make that move guys, never.

Its funny how the world works.

This is my first ever Iphone. The iphone 6. Always had Samsung Galaxy since they came out..

Hate the iphone. Its my first and last.

You're a proper sad bastard if you're a "fanboy" of either windows, os or android.

Just get the best phone you can get for your budget and stop being a little **** about it.

this.

i stick with android now because its simpler when i get a new phone to move everything across.

Hope they release ios9 soon, I actually look forward to these updates.

So you dislike an os that is open and has almost endless possibilities but you prefer an os that locks you into the use of their own software and over priced services? Good for you!

I think fanboys are sad whether samsung or iphone etc. Granted people will tend to stick with what they have. I had blackberry and then switched to the s5 because i got a good deal. My wife had an s3 and now has a sony z2. Honestly all phones that i've used have served me well. I like the z2 and my s5. I've tried my brothers i6 and its a nice phone. I have an ipad mini2 which I like.

I think ultimately its easier to stick with the same OS when you upgrade but if i needed an upgrade and the latest iphone was a better deal then the samsung I wouldn't care. I use my phone to take pics of the kids, TALK/call (ancient technology I know), surf and of course use apps like bbm or whatsapp etc. Last time i checked every super smart phone allows me to do the above.

The s5 or s6 will be better at some things and the iphone others etc.

What ticks me off is the stupid yearly or so marginal upgrades that people go crazy over. The upgrades "generally" are so minimal that you are a sucker for buying into it.

Upgrading when your phone dies is the smarter option. More bang for your buck.

Yer needed a new phone as my Sony had given up the ghost. Went for an s5 for a cheaper contract and I can honestly say there is very little that my friends s6 can do that mine can't. With a bit of hacking and some decent apps I can make up for most of the differences and I pay 15 pound less a month than him with better data and inclusive.

I did the same.

I switched for an Android HTC One a couple of years ago, cried myself to sleep for 18 months and then went back to Iphone.

Oh and brought a mac at the same time. IOSHYPE

Yeah all that customisation is cool for about a week.

I'm more interested in the Windows Phone 10 launch and how it all ties in with the Windows 10 Operating system.  The fact that the whole platform is built on the same kernel and your phone can effectively become a windows 10 PC through continuum, is most likely the way the industry will move forward.

With 75 million users already on Windows 10 and the premise of Universal Apps, it'll be interesting to see how that pans out.

I'm with you borther

Its not about customisation though is it? It's about free apps or cheaper apps, more capabilities, easy access to the file systems etc and cheaper accessories etc. Easier to get things from it with common used file formats not apple specific. An android can do everything an iPhone can for less money and isn't locked down to one operating system to sync with. ( admittedly apple are finally moving do forward with this)

Biggest driver for me in smartphone tech is battery life which pretty much rules out iOS, I travel a lot and need a phone that will have power when needed, an android phone with good battery life and a decent battery for charging can give me several days usage without seeing a socket.

From The Independent's live feed coverage;

  • NHL Game Centre will be coming to the Apple TV in 2016.
  • Opening up the app lets you tune into any game, or see the higlights, from a big screen full of fixtures. Wouldn't it be amazing if this kind of thing happened for the premier league — but it won't.
  • Now the Major League Baseball team. It's going to "change the way you watch television". The MLB team have been really good at putting stuff on the iPad: they've got  agreat app, At Bat, which lets you watch any game.

Now that's coming to the Apple TV.

Like they say wouldn't it be amazing if that kind of thing happened for the Premier League, It won't though.

Are they shitting another U2 album into iTunes?

Fed up of seeing them.

It seems that if I delete one, another appears!

Force Touch technology from the watch coming to iPhone.

That's been known for months but apples 'leak' marketing is pretty efficient

Yeah it was inevitable, I like it a lot on the watch, better utilised on the phone though by the looks of it

Any USA foxes know how much cheaper an iphone is in NYC as i'm over in the new year - happy to purchase a 6 if there still on sale

My wife bought the 6 in NY last year and saved £150 quid but be careful that customs don't spot it as it is over your customs allowance
