Sad news stories

Well this is a thread to cheer everyone up.

Nah. Nobody thinks there are any. The thread would soon be lost in favour of news about a bloke getting a job in Braintree meaning a rise in employment figures. :)

I would say something but I don't make silly remarks to exaggerate my point anymore.

I believe in fairness for all.

Just be fair yourself pal - there's no chance with the world in general.

Can we re-name this thread as "The extremely miserable sad news thread that will make you want to curse the world, then vomit".

Or something in that direction.

Sad story for sure. Scary though how much of a 'blame others' society we've become. Reading the comments it's obviously the fault of immigrants, tories, bankers etc etc. Whatever happened to personal responsibility?

Successive Governments have removed the need for personal responsibility. People do not need to think anymore; just do what your Government tells you to think and do.  :(

I have no idea what you're talking about. The government told these two family members to kill themselves? If you were born in the UK at any time over the last 40 years you've probably been freer to live your life the way you want than at almost any other time in history. These people were sick, suffering from depression and grief. It makes me very uneasy to see people blame politicians and immigrants for their woes.

If Politicians have not effect on our lives; why do we have them?

Remember Ken; it is only sad when it happens to a Tory.

It's sad when people use the tragic death of sick people to push their own personal agenda.

Dismantled over the last 10-15 years, if you are short of money it's not your fault, it's the government. If you don't have a job it's not your fault, it's the government.

People just won't take any blame for anything themselves anymore, we have become the country of the excuse.
