GaelicFox Posted 7 February 2016 Author Posted 7 February 2016 I see the Liverpool keeper also walked out with the fans on 77 mins LOL
purpleronnie Posted 7 February 2016 Posted 7 February 2016 Bayern Munich president Uli Hoeness today accused Premier League clubs of 'milking their fans like cows' in charging high prices for season tickets.Explaining his decision to keep season tickets at Bayern lower than their counterparts across Europe, Hoeness said: "We could charge more than €130 (£104). Let's say we charged €380 (£300). We'd get €2.5m (£2m) more in income, but what's €2.5m to us?""In a transfer discussion you argue about the sum for five minutes. But the difference between €130 and €380 is huge for the fans.""We do not think fans are like cows, who you milk. Football has got to be for everybody."
Aus Fox Posted 7 February 2016 Posted 7 February 2016 I don't get how a walk out will do anything. They've still bought a ticket. Most of the people walking out are fed up season ticket holders. This action alone will not do much, it needs to be replicated at grounds up and down the country. This is why it would be great if we do the 5 min lock out at Arsenal. The Premier League is a global brand, sceans like this every week leads to damage to that brand - this then in turn can lead to someone attempting to solve the problem.
Larry_LCFC Posted 7 February 2016 Posted 7 February 2016 I cant get my head around the fact that the club that finishes last next season will still earn £99 million from the new TV deal, and yet clubs, including ours, will be putting up prices. Think its an absolute disgrace to be honest. Be prepared for your sky subs to go up aswell to cover the extra money spent on securing TV rights.

Haven't Liverpool scrapped the 77 quid ticket idea? Seems that walk out had a effect after all. Seems the fans can make a difference

Simi Posted 11 February 2016 Posted 11 February 2016 Yesterday's meeting of chairman of premier league clubs had a proposal to cap away tickets at £30 Arsenal spoke out against the propsal ! Everton in favour. It returns to that forum be discussed in March, Away fans need to make a stand ! But not if it's an important game though, right?
purpleronnie Posted 11 February 2016 Posted 11 February 2016 Incredible that the CEO's of the Premier league will make 9 billion over the next 3 years but won't reduce prices. Then you have the useless PFA chaiman handing himself a 140% pay increase and doesn't murmur a word whilst watching liverpool fans walk out. It's rotten to the core. I just hope that the protests don't stop. Fine go and protest about a small number of high priced tickets but surely we all should be protesting about the majority of tickets that are over priced.
Sharpe's Fox Posted 11 February 2016 Posted 11 February 2016 Fair play to Liverpool fans for doing it. Shows that the club owners are massive pussies in the end, though, possibly with the exception of Mike Ashley who doesn't give a flying fvck.

All well and good but its a little sad that people think that is a great victory just because a top price ticket is now ONLY £59.
Staffs Fox Posted 12 February 2016 Posted 12 February 2016 To be fair Liverpool fans aren't seeing this as a great victory, they're seeing it as a start, It has gone on for too long now and I've seen more in the media this week than ever before and with the influx of money hopefully things will begin to change, Probably not though

Some more cynical people may say its more a victory for the owners than fans, fans still pay through the nose throughout the ground and the owners win some PR points for 'listening to their fans'.
