Ross-Kemp Posted 6 February 2016 Posted 6 February 2016 Surprised a thread isn't about for this, good win for Italy away at France, England 7-6 up at half time.
SpacedX Posted 6 February 2016 Posted 6 February 2016 Don't look at all convincing. I thought that Eddie Jones was looking to revive our presence in the pack? Early days, but our handling looks appalling. Dull kicking game.

SpacedX Posted 6 February 2016 Posted 6 February 2016 Great move. Like they just said, Vinupola, great hands for a prop. That's more like it.
Ross-Kemp Posted 6 February 2016 Author Posted 6 February 2016 Oh aye yeah, I completely mis-read the score, I'll blame the euphoria of city winning and the vodka
Finnegan Posted 6 February 2016 Posted 6 February 2016 Scotland really are terrible. Even if they somehow steal this, terrible.
Nick Posted 6 February 2016 Posted 6 February 2016 I wasn't sure what brand of rugby England would play so wasn't prepared to call a tournament prediction. I thought Scotland had some good moments and I think Finners comments are harsh but on that display Wales should dominate this tournament with some ease. The England pack looked good in the scrum technically but weak in power. Doesn't bode well for English hopes IMO.
Nalis Posted 7 February 2016 Posted 7 February 2016 Cant help but felt the 6 Nations this year is a bit of an anti climax given the World Cup woes of the Northern Hemisphere sides. Pity the Ireland v Wales is on so early in the Championship, think Wales will win and will subsequently will the whole thing. Although both games yesterday were decent enough to watch, they weren't of the best quality.

If Italy sort their kicking out, Scotland will take the spoon again and we can all go back to accepting their game against Australia was their one plucky performance of the decade and they haven't turned a corner. 2. Forget all the talk about Irish form and injuries, they're still a very good team in the context of this tournament, they're the reigning champions and they're playing us at home. They're considerable favourites for today and frankly the bookies having them down as third favourites for the whole thing is a laugh. 3. England might have looked uninspiring in victory but they've still got home field advantage against a Wales side that's forgetting how to create tries more and more as Gatland goes on. You were very solid defensively yesterday and if you play like that at Twickenham vs us then it'll be a low scoring affair that could go either way. You should have won in the world cup, for all our plaudits, let's not forget we committed daylight robbery. 4. Jesus, France are shit.
GaelicFox Posted 7 February 2016 Posted 7 February 2016 Decent enough game this ireland and Wales game This could be tight game come 80 mins
Finnegan Posted 8 February 2016 Posted 8 February 2016 It was, I spent the last twenty minutes thinking "if we knick this, it'll be really harsh." I thought we were the only side likely to win once we came back level but as I've been saying for months now, we've just forgotten how to score tries. It's frustrating as hell. Everybody knows we've got an excellent team, we're ridiculously good defensively but we're painfully conservative in the opposition half. How Gatland can't see that, as a Kiwi, is just tragic.

All I said was that you were perhaps a little harsh and I stand by that. With respect, they are giving Wales a decent run for their money and France played well today too.
Nick Posted 13 February 2016 Posted 13 February 2016 What movement from George North! Outstanding run not so good defensively from Scotland though not to get a tackle in at all.
Nalis Posted 13 February 2016 Posted 13 February 2016 George North being George North. Scotland's defense as shite as Ireland's v France.
Finnegan Posted 14 February 2016 Posted 14 February 2016 All I said was that you were perhaps a little harsh and I stand by that. With respect, they are giving Wales a decent run for their money and France played well today too. Scotland are still crap. They played out of their skins and we didn't show up for an hour and they were still only winning by a kick. They're not a good team. Being able to give an international side a good test for an hour isn't good enough. We used to do that, circa 2003 we were the kings of that. I'll stop calling Scotland crap when they stop being "brave" and "plucky" and start beating teams. They lost to Italy at home last year, they should never have gotten out of their group in the world cup, they fluked it because Japan had to play them days after SA and Samoa showed them up for what they are. They had one decent game against the Aussies (and lost) and everyone seemed to forget all of their inadequacies. Regards Wales yesterday, we were dire. Any decent side would have put us to bed. Lacked intensity, sloppy in defence, uninspired in attack. We finally give George North the ball after about seventy odd minutes and remember that, oh yeah, we've got one of the best wingers in the world on our team. Who knew? Christ I'm beginning to dislike Gatland.
Nalis Posted 28 February 2016 Posted 28 February 2016 Well done Wakes, England and Scotland. In terms of quality its been (expectedly) a poor 6 Nations but half decent in drama in some games. Also, the guys in the studio for ITV are far better than some of the dinosaurs on BBC. Lastly, most England players are likeable but Mike Brown has to be one of the most dislikable little shits in world rugby.
Fox in the North Posted 12 March 2016 Posted 12 March 2016 That was way too close for comfort in the end
Livid Posted 12 March 2016 Posted 12 March 2016 Used to watch quite a bit of Rugby but the last few years it's not doing it for me.
