Micky Adams - What really happened?

Adams had probably the worst hand to deal with of any Leicester manager.

I'd say only a handful of men have had to go to those lengths to help out a club in such a state.

He did a very admirable job for us given what he was up against. The late goals conceded in the 03/04 season games were tough to take. I'll never forget Middlesbrough in January 2004 as it unfolded on Soccer Saturday.  It really hit the pits after he left. 2 months later and the 1-0 defeat at home on Boxing day to Rotherham. Among the lowest of the low.

It's a shame that one of our most decent achievements in the 2003 promotion has been by and large forgotten by being overshadowed by the lean years surrounding it. A bit like the kernel of crud that was Svens reign happened within the riches of the glory years.

It's sad that he has fallen out of favour of the management scene. Seems like a decent man.

Pretty sure he lives in Harborough or one of the surrounding villages and has for quite a while . I can remember seeing him in a local night club over here when he was managering  Leicester so it's more a case of managerimg  a local youth team

He still lives in Mkt Harborough. His son ( aged 15/16 ) plays for Harborough Town. He's working for the F.A. as far as l know. The 'job' at HTFC will be as a volunteer as very few staff there are paid.

He's a ref assessor for the FA.  He was on the Danny Baker sausage sandwich game on 5 live at the end of may.
