Micky Adams - What really happened?

Recommended Posts

Hi folks, those fans of a certain vintage will remember the turbulent times of administration, la manga, promotion & relegation as well as moving grounds, which all happened in a 3 year period when Micky Adams was at our club.

Micky has very kindly agreed to come and spill the beans on what really went on during his tenure at City.

He will be doing an in depth interview and Q&A in Sileby, Leics on Tuesday 8th March.

Tickets are available online at www.side-splitters.co.uk or from the venue in person.

If you need any further details feel free to contact me by email on [email protected]

Many thanks

James

He lives in harborough I think , or at least did until recently

Yeah still does. He's a few doors down from my parents.

If I still lived in Leicester I would definitely go.

One of my favourite Leicester managers in the 30 years i've supported them.

Please can this be filmed either video or audio? Would definitely pay for audio of it.

Used to see him jogging round Bowden Fields in his Port Vale gear and once served him a Big Mac in a past life. Won't mention the street he lives on but any Harborough Heads can probably take an educated guess.

Good guy who did a decent job at a time when we needed him.

Still watch the season review of him getting us promoted. What a rubbish side we had too. A very decent honest bloke. You don't get many in football...

Will always be a hero of mine. The way he took responsibility for La Manga and the press intrusion he took was far beyond the call of duty. Being in the away end at Birmingham belting out 'There's only one Micky Adams' was actually one of the best moments in my time supporting city.

It's a bit sad seeing him do stuff like this

He's flogging a book, I think. He ain't working in management, a guy's gotta eat.

He's done a lot of talking about his time at City recently - an interview with LCFC.com, a piece in the Merc. Maybe he's trying to cash in, and why not?

I always liked him. Got us promoted whilst the club was in administration and had to put up with a lot of s**t in his tenure. What happened at City arguably affected his career, and not for the better.

Yet he clearly still has a lot of time for the club.
