Jace Posted 3 April 2016 Posted 3 April 2016 Now I know Arsenal had their trophy winning parade planned out back in December and I really don't want to get ahead of myself (but I kind of have to as I live quite far away and have to plan travel) if by the slightest small chance we were to win the Premier League title, does anyone know what the plans could be? I remember seeing something being planned for Victoria Park?
Izzy Posted 3 April 2016 Posted 3 April 2016 If we win the league, the Queen will declare a national holiday apparently.
Jace Posted 4 April 2016 Author Posted 4 April 2016 Anyone know if we were to become champions before the end of the season would they leave it to Stamford Bridge or would they potentially do it earlier against Everton?
Itsthejoeker Posted 4 April 2016 Posted 4 April 2016 Anyone know if we were to become champions before the end of the season would they leave it to Stamford Bridge or would they potentially do it earlier against Everton? Think they prefer to do it at the home ground
Jace Posted 4 April 2016 Author Posted 4 April 2016 Think they prefer to do it at the home ground I know it'll be a preference, but the question is more does anyone know if they are they able to?
norwichfox Posted 4 April 2016 Posted 4 April 2016 I believe Peter Taylor is holding a garden party, all those who like him are invited....
Jace Posted 4 April 2016 Author Posted 4 April 2016 I believe Peter Taylor is holding a garden party, all those who like him are invited.... FFS hopefully it'll just be Savage going
Mark_w Posted 4 April 2016 Posted 4 April 2016 I know it'll be a preference, but the question is more does anyone know if they are they able to? I'm fairly sure it's done at the last home game if it's won by then.
stripeyfox Posted 4 April 2016 Posted 4 April 2016 If we (or any other team for that matter) is champions either before or at the end of their last home game, then the trophy presentation will take place there. Why wouldn't they?

Why wouldn't they? Because when I research this on Google 90% of the answers I'm getting are saying it'll only be on the last day even if the title has been won several games in advance incase there are any rule breaking or point deductions made in-between. When you say it'll be the last home game do you have information that supports this or are you guessing?

So even if we've won it at the end of the Everton game, the trophy will be presented in front of the Chelsea fans.
Larry_LCFC Posted 4 April 2016 Posted 4 April 2016 From reading articles from previous seasons, they will present the trophy at the last home game of the season when already won. That was what I've always thought aswell.
Jakemoore Posted 4 April 2016 Posted 4 April 2016 Surely they'll be an open top bus celebration on the Monday after the season finishes? I'm hoping that's the case as I've already booked it off work in preparation.
Jace Posted 4 April 2016 Author Posted 4 April 2016 I think the best thing I can really do is go back and look to see whats happened in all the previous seasons and let everyone know, looking to book Chelsea corporate tickets today that'll cost a fortune

It was United's last home game of the season and they needed a point to win the league which they did with a 0-0 draw. Presentation took place immediately afterwards. A week later, United played their final game of the campaign away, at Hull.
Larry_LCFC Posted 4 April 2016 Posted 4 April 2016 It wouldn't make any sense to do it away from home if not necessary. I would bet my life on them doing against Everton if it's wrapped up.

So even if we've won it at the end of the Everton game, the trophy will be presented in front of the Chelsea fans. This is 100% not correct, unless they have changed the policy in the last season or two. See above example of Man Utd getting trophy at Old Trafford in their penultimate game of the season.

Jace Posted 4 April 2016 Author Posted 4 April 2016 Apparently the trophy parade will be on Sunday 22nd May around Islington http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/row-zed/arsenals-premier-league-trophy-parade-7097761
stripeyfox Posted 4 April 2016 Posted 4 April 2016 It is absolutely bonkers that we are even talking about the possibility of not only winning the title, but winning it with a game to spare! Crazy times

stripeyfox Posted 4 April 2016 Posted 4 April 2016 This would be ridiculous if this happened. It would. Which is why it won't.
Jace Posted 4 April 2016 Author Posted 4 April 2016 Sol on the away Chelsea thread has said he's been told by the club its not going to be at the Everton match although he's not too sure either. I don't think anyone really knows right now Ranieri still hasn't publicly addressed we are in the title race so its not surprising the club are not acknowledging it
