End of season celebrations

It is absolutely bonkers that we are even talking about the possibility of not only winning the title, but winning it with a game to spare!

Crazy times

Amazingly even if we lost all our games and Tottenham won all their's they could only guarantee the title with one game to spare after we had lost to Everton at home in the penultimate week.

We could guarantee the title if Stoke beat Tottenham after we'd beat West Ham the day before and that's just two games away.

Staggering to think that.  :o

Surely they'll be an open top bus celebration on the Monday after the season finishes? I'm hoping that's the case as I've already booked it off work in preparation.

I think that monday is a bank holiday.

If we (or any other team for that matter) is champions either before or at the end of their last home game, then the trophy presentation will take place there.

Why wouldn't they?

Because Chelsea are champions now and will be till the end of this season.

Last time this happened was 2012-13 when Man Utd were champions, were crowned at the last home game against Swansea remember it thinking about it as it when Ferguson retired

Now I know Arsenal had their trophy winning parade planned out back in December and I really don't want to get ahead of myself (but I kind of have to as I live quite far away and have to plan travel) if by the slightest small chance we were to win the Premier League title, does anyone know what the plans could be? I remember seeing something being planned for Victoria Park?

Are you the same Jace that was slagging off the guy who was selling the LCFC Champions scarves for being a bit hasty ? ....       Surely not.

Yeah it is, and if you can't understand the difference between declaring we are already champions and planning the end of season travel arrangements based on the possibility that we could win the league then you are an ostrich

I believe Peter Taylor is holding a garden party, all those who like him are invited.... lol

He wouldn't need a garden, he'd be able to have it in a window box.

Man Utd lifted the trophy on the penultimate game of the season, their last home game, in 2008 and 2013. Chelsea lifted it with two away games to go in 2005 and 2006.

Not sure it would be any different for us.

The Premier League and it's sponsors don't want the trophy being lifted in a mostly empty stadium, it's hardly good for the 'brand'.

Even if we win it on the day against Everton I'd suspect they'll have everything ready to go in case.

Although if we won it at Chelsea I reckon most of their fans would stay and applaud purely for the fact we're not Tottenham or Arsenal.

But yes, it'll def be at Everton if it's won by the final whistle.

Most of the responses here relate to the possible presentation of the trophy. I think the original intent of the thread was to try and understand if there might be any thoughts about a possible "celebration", much like the one in the City Centre/Town Hall Square when we won the Championship two years ago. I'm coming over from Canada and, I too, am trying to figure out travel/hotel arrangements. By the way, I think it is way too premature to assume anything (unlike the Arsenal folks who were planning their Pemier League victory celebrations months ago). However, I, for one, think that a huge celebration is warranted, whatever happens in the next few games. Ranieri and the boys have already done something quite extraordinary. I'm immensely proud of them. I have almost no chance of getting tickets to any of the remaining games so I'd be thrilled if I got the chance to share my joy in such an event.
