Pennington kicked the back of his calf without vards moving it across into him. He also didn't stick his leg into the defenders as he fell creating the exaggerated fall due to them both having to go to ground.

We've come a long way since last beating Everton 3-1 - in the first game of the old first division in August 1985....as the older fans will remember of course. That was when Sir Lineker had just signed for the Toffees from us and was upstaged by the likes of Mark Bright & Alan Smith on that day!
