Leicester 2015/2016. A history of sports, a story of revenge, of hope beyond all hope, a story of lost causes and redemption beyond all reason.
A life story that tells of heroic deeds, exceeding their expectations and going even beyond. Without ever giving up. Without ever having psychological failures. Proving that we are better than what everyone believes, ourselves included.
This is not only a story about sport, but rather becomes a catharsis.
The ability to establish itself beyond ourselves, to become what we are destined to be. It 'a story that flows in the purest poetry and art. Wonderful history and wonderful victory, not against others, but rather on themselves.
A great test of character, desire, hope, teamwork. Trusting companion next so deeply that it is not a team forged by money, but rather a band of brothers. Wonderful.
This step is what we need to live our daily lives as extraordinary. And 'what we need to free ourselves from the misery of the world.
This is the true nobility of spirit: always believed, never giving up, with hope, humility and righteousness, pursuing the right things.
That's why this victory is no longer just a sports victory, but it becomes a symbol of redemption. Spiritual redemption, remembering that we are much more than that of mud body that hosts us.
And 'the victory of poetry on materialist pragmatism.
And 'the victory of hard work on' being disadvantaged.
And 'the victory of David against Goliath, the redemption of the weak.
This victory is not a victory, but it's THE victory.
This victory is a concrete example that each of us can do great and memorable acts in his small, surpassing their unsightly blemishes using well the fortitude that we find within ourselves.
It feels like the smell of paradise flowers. And there is nothing better in the world. This is the way to become a legend.
Love? spiritual catharsis? Face ourselves? Accept the fact of being fragile, and good? All this leads in the same direction: this.
This is the best of the best that the sport has to offer: a miracle of sacrifice and hope come true.

Damn Licester thanks a lot: every time I think about your victory I cry with joy :) ...

Fabio - thanks for such a passionate message. I know your city has a very proud tradition of principled political activism, and Leicester is no different. Not so much recently, but in the 19th century, right up to the first world war, Leicester was a key centre of radical thinking. I like to think of our season as part of that historical legacy - refusing to accept the status quo and fighting unstintingly against the established hierarchy.  (There's a great book called 'Radical Leicester' that details this).

Brilliant.

A true story of hard work, friendship, trust and commitment with a strong belief in their own ability to never give up forged by a manager who allowed these attributes to blossom.

That's a lesson, values we can all take and apply to anything we do in life to become better or reach the best of our abilities. It's certainly a lesson I'll be teaching my kids and taking on myself, and our Leicester City provide the example, proof that with these attributes you can get where you want in life.
