Mark_w Posted 12 May 2016 Posted 12 May 2016 I think this was my 2nd post on here ever Just went back and found that thread, was about to rip into people for their bizarre formations and then I saw that I was advocating Drinkwater at RM . Still saner than the people who had Beckford in front of Vardy.
Les-TA-Jon Posted 12 May 2016 Posted 12 May 2016 I love the fact that a game between two teams playing 1-2-7 and 2-2-6 respectively - finished 0-0!
Finnaldo Posted 12 May 2016 Posted 12 May 2016 I love the fact that a game between two teams playing 1-2-7 and 2-2-6 respectively - finished 0-0! At least we can comfort ourselves on the knowledge that from the very inception on international football, England have found a way against all odds to completely destroy our hopes and dreams.
filbertway Posted 12 May 2016 Posted 12 May 2016 I don't get why more manager's don't do this. It kills me when england play 4 defenders against someone like San Marino. Just have an absolute machine at CB that won't lose any 50 50s and throw an Andy Carrol or 2 up front.

Scotland dis that against Gibraltar and went 1-0 down However they did put about six past them in the end though

Guest MattP Posted 13 May 2016 Posted 13 May 2016 Against England’s 1-2-7, Scotland lined up in a radical 2-2-6, passed the ball and despite being on average a stone a man lighter than the English, had the better of a 0-0 draw How does a match finish 0-0 with only 3 defenders on the pitch compared to 13 attackers?
filbertway Posted 13 May 2016 Posted 13 May 2016 Scotland dis that against Gibraltar and went 1-0 down However they did put about six past them in the end though Haha yeah, it leaves you more vulnerable, but if you've got an extra couple of attackers in the box, you've got to back yourself to handsomely outscore the opposition. Also it'd stop full backs jogging forward 10 yards, turning back and then the defenders passing the ball between them for a minute. Boring.
