st albans fox Posted 18 May 2016 Posted 18 May 2016 Well, he isn't obliged to answer a question, is he? Why would he compromise himself by fabricating a fiction? as the chairman of a title winning team, he should be 'expecting' them to stay. if he avoids the question then it just raises the temp back here. if one fo them goes, then it doesn't change his expectation. he hasn't said 'they will all stay'. of course things can get lost in translation. maybe he meant the latter. like I said, until they resign a new contract, it means diddly squat.
Steven Posted 18 May 2016 Posted 18 May 2016 Italian and French are basically interchangeable I wish.
melrose Posted 18 May 2016 Posted 18 May 2016 I hope Kante doesn't get his head turned when he's at the euros!
whoareyaaa Posted 18 May 2016 Posted 18 May 2016 hope he is right..imo all uk players will stay along with Kasper and Mahrez, my only concern is Kante (although im sure he has been accepted into the group and i think he feels part of "the family"), his body language tells me he is not entirely happy. Mahrez seems to haveadapted to the culture but i often sense Kante would rather be elsewhere. Of course he may just be shy or not grasped the language yet, but i look at Mahrez and Oki and they appear to mix and take part of the activities Id hate for Kante to leave but in my honest opinion im sure he feels he would fit in better in the Arsenal dressing room Fingers crossed he stays You have to remember kante won't be used to all this limelight he is getting, he seems a little shy more than not involved and he's always got a smile on his face so why people think he is going to all of a sudden leave is understandable due to his quality but there is no signs of it happening
Freeman's Wharfer Posted 18 May 2016 Posted 18 May 2016 Aint that Ben Jacobs the same bloke that said we'd definitely signed Loic Remy or somebody in January? He was adamant and wrong, thats all I remember of him edit : I dunno what I'm actually suggesting here, whether hes made this interview up in his head for the sake of it but hes on the bad ITK list of my brains He's an absolute tool. Lives out in the Middle East and purports to be a Leicester fan but has very little idea about us. That N'Kolo thing will not have been just a typo, about a year ago he thought Steve Walsh Snr was the former player...

Bob Weasel Fox Posted 18 May 2016 Posted 18 May 2016 I hope Kante doesn't get his head turned when he's at the euros!I don't think he will in all honestlyTime will tell
HighPeakFox Posted 18 May 2016 Posted 18 May 2016 I expect to win the lottery.. I expect you to remain disappointed
Fatbloke Posted 18 May 2016 Posted 18 May 2016 Why do we have to have this negative chatter? Why would any of the aforementioned Leicester City players want away? After all we are the Champions of the English Premier League and about to embark a prestigious European football journey. Absolutely this !!!
Vardinio'sCat Posted 18 May 2016 Posted 18 May 2016 He has all the hallmarks of anxiety sufferer but it appears having Kante around has helped him alongside becoming a Dad Are you sure? I don't think you can diagnose him like that... I'm not a big fan of public speaking in English myself, and if I had to do it in a relatively new second language like Riyad, I would struggle. Maybe we are just used to seeing Academy media-trained footballers speaking in a language they are totally natural in. It's not like most French speakers have at least a smattering of English to start with, as German, Dutch and Scandinavian (etc) players do. I think Riyad, Shinji and NG have done really well with the language skills they have picked up, but they are still having to think hard when they speak in public.

Mahrez has done very well getting to speak and express himself in a language that is his third and has only start communicating in it in the last three years. Coming from a latin country where he grew up and having arabic as "parent" tongue i think he has done very well. I have lived thirty years in this country and I am still finding it a lot more comfortable to express myself in french or arabic. Mahrez used to be a great joker and very extroverted person around peoples that he knows and trust.
SpinneyHillRanger Posted 19 May 2016 Posted 19 May 2016 Italian and French are basically interchangeable didn't tat dembele we were after say Ranieri called him and that ranieri barely knew how to speak french... i wonder if his french is like his english. dilly dong
Itsthejoeker Posted 19 May 2016 Posted 19 May 2016 Has he ever had any reason to learn French? Monaco were his last domestic club before us
Countryfox Posted 19 May 2016 Posted 19 May 2016 I hope Kante doesn't get his head turned when he's at the euros! Sorry but its definitely going to happen. Best to just accept it. It will probably be turned several times when they unscrew his head to put the new batteries in ...
undey Posted 19 May 2016 Author Posted 19 May 2016 Here's the interview with Vichai http://bit.ly/1U17f3o
Freeman's Wharfer Posted 20 May 2016 Posted 20 May 2016 He is from Leicester. Doesn't that qualify him? I think it's more about actually having a clue about the club you supposedly support, not where you're from. Particularly if you're using that to make a living.
