davieG Posted 26 May 2016 Posted 26 May 2016 I'll stick with Fez's book for now. https://www.facebook.com/TheUnbelievablesLCFC/?fref=ts
BrummieFOX Posted 26 May 2016 Posted 26 May 2016 Pre-ordered 'The Unbelievables' but is '5000-1' worth a read?
MPH Posted 26 May 2016 Posted 26 May 2016 Pre-ordered 'The Unbelievables' but is '5000-1' worth a read? Well it depends on your outlook. One was written by someone with blue blood running through their veins the other by someone paid to be at the games. Now thats not a criticism of Tanner, just a comment about the emotions behind it all...
Foxhateram Posted 27 May 2016 Posted 27 May 2016 I have enjoyed reading it so far. On about page 45. Good build up about pearson and the end of last season before starting to talk about Ranieri etc. But it is very much from Tanners perspective, which at times can be a bit debatable. There is a large chunk where he speaks about pearson and the media for example, it is balanced but its all about Rob's journey to see Leicester really. Im enjoying it as its interesting to read from different perspectives but i cant wait for Fez's book to arrive. Written by a fan for the fans with all the passion bursting from inside. Cant wait.
Guest MattP Posted 27 May 2016 Posted 27 May 2016 It's absolutely shit to be honest, basically his opinion on LCFC, I won't finish it.
Wymsey Posted 27 May 2016 Posted 27 May 2016 It's absolutely shit to be honest, basically his opinion on LCFC, I won't finish it. Isn't Tanner from Coventry, and used to support them before coming here?

Lcfc_lass10 Posted 27 May 2016 Posted 27 May 2016 It's absolutely shit to be honest, basically his opinion on LCFC, I won't finish it. Was thinking of buying it as well, don't think I'll bother now. I'll stick to 'The Unbelievables' since it's a fans view.

UpTheLeagueFox Posted 27 May 2016 Posted 27 May 2016 Rob is a Birmingham City fan but when he was on talkSPORT this week he referred to Leicester as "we" because he found it difficult not to be swept along by the euphoria of everything. Rob's a good bloke. Did a Q&A with him at Waterstones in Leicester tonight. Pre-sales / actual sales are in the 30-35k bracket which is almost unheard of for a debut author. I look forward to reading it in Ibiza soon.
