Or is le tissier a total twat No aversion to a gk taking a pen, anyone who has the balls really, but where's vardy?
spudfox2911 Posted 3 June 2016 Author Posted 3 June 2016 Ha yeah true, but he has done the job every other times he has been called upon this season hasnt he? I may be mistaken on that.
AKCJ Posted 3 June 2016 Posted 3 June 2016 Wouldn't say that Vardy is a great penalty taker to be honest but he'll take one when the time inevitably comes. I'd have Kane, Rooney, Milner, Vardy and Henderson. All of those have the ability/composure (although Milner and Henderson shouldn't even be on the pitch).
ScouseFox Posted 3 June 2016 Posted 3 June 2016 rooney kane vardy milner errrrr dunno. we look well short on competent pen takers, as per.
Brainy Posted 3 June 2016 Posted 3 June 2016 He probably didn't pick Vardy because he'd have been subbed off by then (or never brought on in the first place)
RowlattsFox Posted 3 June 2016 Posted 3 June 2016 Kyle Walker would thump a penalty, could burst through net or enter the top tier. Deli Ali would be really casual and miss I reckon, bottle job. Sturridge wouldn't volunteer if he was on the pitch. All attacking players should be able to take one but they don't all have the balls.
Guest NGoloMode Posted 3 June 2016 Posted 3 June 2016 I've seen loads of clips of Joe Hart taking penalties. He's actually really good.
Guest Sharpe's Fox Posted 3 June 2016 Posted 3 June 2016 Nothing to do with how good you are and everything to do with how much bottle you have. On that Spurs players should be disqualified from taking penalties, third in a two horse race let's not forget.
Arriba Los Zorros Posted 3 June 2016 Posted 3 June 2016 Rooney Kane Dier Vardy Milner For me. Lallana could probably do a job but I'm not too sure if he's got the bottle
ClaphamFox Posted 3 June 2016 Posted 3 June 2016 A few nights ago I had a dream that England played well during the tournament (I know, I know, but bear with me) and reached the semi-finals, where we played Spain. It was a hard-fought draw and went to penalties. Vardy missed his and became a national scapegoat a la Pearce, Waddle, Southgate, Batty, Vassell, etc. It was awful. I know if it comes to it Vardy will almost certainly stand up and volunteer to take one, but it wouldn't bother me if he doesn't.
Ashley Posted 3 June 2016 Posted 3 June 2016 Kane Milner Vardy ? Rooney - Last penalty taker for me, has to be.
Corky Posted 3 June 2016 Posted 3 June 2016 I've seen loads of clips of Joe Hart taking penalties. He's actually really good. Yeah, didn't he score a crucial one in a shoot out for the Under 21s?
