There's was a lot of decent crosses going in last night and nobody was there to header them in and even if they did header it, it went well wide. Best header in the premier league is Andy Carroll and he isn't there.

I thought 80% of the crosses were poor. The 2 fullbacks after 50 minutes kept cutting inside.Not one player except Ali after coming on tried to go to the by-line.

It needed to have midfield players driving forward, Wilshere never tried, and usually he is one of the best.

Rooney had a couple of thrusts, Ali like all tried going through the middle too often.

Wrong players having shots..Lallana, Henderson.

One for Vardy one for Sturridge real chance...

Townsend, Walker would have chased the by-line.

Too many times wrong players in wrong position at wrong time.

Thats why I agree with all the negatives, on this thread.The chosen players

are like robots, and nobody goes over the whitewash, with their own PL style.

Hodgson after all this time should have had their playing style parat, with

at plans A, b, c already in the squads mind.

Its not the 0-0 draw yesterday, but 50minutes of no show of imagination.

Clyne, tried for 70 minutes, Lallana tried but couldn't pull the defence out of position.

Sturridge was just too slow when on the ball.Vardy tried flicks and quick layoffs,

but it should of been sorted before front men were involved.

Rooney imo did try, but his fellow midfielders collected too close to each other, or

took space from Sturridge, Vardy then Kane.

France, Germany, England this year look same o same o.

Spain, Italy so far, look in a better groove.

I am an optimistic type of guy,....the knockout stages will have ALL qualified teams

having to show more.

This then will help France, Germany and England, plus a couple of dont knows, to show/or not

their better credentials, if ....if they are capable.

Wales could suprise a few, a semi final could well be in for them.

For England its time for Hodgson to stop mucking around..He picks his best team now

that he believes will take him through 4 games to the final, with or without Vardy.

Why this surprises anyone anymore I have no idea. England as a footballing nation never ever learns. We paper over the cracks when we beat shite like Lithuania and Slovenia and then wonder how we look crap when we come to the real thing.

The squad unsurprisingly is hamstringing us. Albrighton and Carroll should without a doubt be there. But instead Hodgson did the usual England thing and went with the 'name' players above logic or efficiency.

I'm not even that pissed off to be honest, I have completely accepted we are shit. I expect us to see off Hungary probably in extra time and then lose to France, a scenario our own ineptitude put us in and yet the FA will probably still keep him on.

Fans sounded absolutely terrific, shame they are let down time and time again.

We are only at the 2nd teer, its easierif you judge England at that level, and occasionally slipping to

Proper possession sides like Spain pass with purpose, we pass for the sake of saying we dominated possession and therefore deserved to win. We played into Slovakia's hands.

Agree on this, simply because its backed up with the reason we are poor.

Too much pussy footing, and Henderson, I rate him as a player, but he is never an

England starting player.I doubt with Englands possible choices after this season,

he should of been even in the squad.From his postion we must see a descisive

We have players like Rooney, Ali, Vardy, Kane, Wilshere, adding Rose

The football Roy is trying to play just doesn't really work, were too slow in possession and pass sideways or backwards with no attacking purpose.

U can see them all looking at each other when they have the ball, they look very uncomfortable and it shows!!

We don't really have the players to play like Spain.

Our strikers are getting limited chances in the 3 games we have played so far as we are passing the ball to death.

We are playing them out of the game, feeding on scraps as we have too many players around the 18 yard box waiting for a pass.

It's like Leicesters starting 11 last season to possession style football next season, it would be embarrassing as we can't play that way.

We play to our strengths. It's not rocket science.

Roy needs to wake up and start playing to our Strengths which would be 442 holding shape and hit on the counter with Ali/vardy/Kane.

The coaches and Roy are on borrowed time, I for one hope he doesn't get rewarded with a new contract.

There's a way and we proved against WBA at home where we were incredibly unlucky.

When you have two banks of four, you have to move the ball quicker. No slow build up and you'll find a gap. We played at snails pace yesterday.

I partially agree with everyone. One of the other problems is that expectations get raised unrealistically, and we generally hope it will work like clockwork, despite logic suggesting otherwise.

I'm not a fierce patriot, so am able to watch England in a slightly less impassioned way. The first half was pretty decent last night and the team isn't being lucky in front of goal. I blame nobody for being disappointed today, for various reasons, but generally people over react and miss the positives, of which there were plenty.
