It says something about the choices of the electorate that the mindset of the majority is who's the least crap option?!

You talking about the future England manager position?

The problem is, if, as seems likely, Corbyn will make Labour unelectable, there will be no credible opposition and that in any democracy is a bad thing. Any party that is unopposed is likely to become a dictatoriat (my term) during their term of office.

Personally I couldn't vote Labour in any election under the current leadership and shadow cabinet. Similarly I would find it hard to vote Conservative because I don't share their policies.

British politics is in a real mess post-Brexit. But I believe that was a necessary kick in bollox for politicians. I just don't want the current situation to allow arrogance to envelop the Tories. I don't really trust Theresa May. I think she is taking advantage of the unstable political situation and is trying to cement the Tories as the "party of the people" in the absence of any alternative. Once the populace accept and believe that to be true they (the Tories) will be more inclined to believe what they say is in the best interests of "the hard working families" that the Tories like to keep calling us plebs. They will then be more accepting of policies designed to subvert the working class.

Couldn't disagree more.once in a lifetime chance to reward the massive majority of decent people who want to achieve something in life. Stupid multi-cultarism and pandering to the under deserving has got us to where we are today.labour is a party of middle class Luvvies and deserves to die out.

Watching Shami Charakbati squirm on Peston was great, she looked like she was going to cry at one point, you can tell already she just isn't tough enough for politics, massive mistake to bring her into teh cabinet.

It's going to be hilarious watching her argue against selective schools for children whilst paying £18,000 a year to send her child to a selective school.

I say this as someone who had any idealist view that Corbyn could at least make people think about politics more and whilst not winning an election, rebuild Labour's support.

That ain't happening in a million years. Over the past two weeks him and his supporters have completely fcuked this up. The two errors alone this week of supporting an organisation (Stand Up Against Racism) where there's a major issue surrounding sexual assault and his media spokesman's absolute woeful reply to protesting outside the Russian embassy.

Absolute looneys. Completely missing the point - it's as if they believe the UK is solely North London.

I think I might actually throw up. 'Concerts for Corbyn'...This is all getting a bit sickly now.

Becoming a parody of themselves, it's going to be a shit re-run of Billy Bragg and all his crew from the 80's who used to turn up at the so called "rock against racism" concerts, the is in Brighton as well lol Not surprised to see Paul Weller playing, this is a guy who refused to vote in 2015 because he couldn't vote for Russell Brand.

Corbyn should take note of the words of one of his favourite writers - "History repeats itself, first as tragedy, second as farce " - Marx couldn't have been more spot on with that.

At least that was supposed to be for something, actually against something. This is just an arse licking for 'our glorious leader' As you say, absolutely no surprise whatsoever that it's happening in Brighton, and then as Cardiff mentioned, they are so insular that they really only care about North London, Brighton and Liverpool.

I'd put money on there being something like this at the concert.

One of my favourite lines from the article....The hypocrisy is strong in this one.

Quote

Momentum denies that this amounts to the promotion of a personality cult.

"Jeremy never says 'I', he always says 'we'," argues Momentum spokeswoman Sophie Nazemi. However, asked why the group they chose to call them Concerts for Corbyn rather than "for Labour" or even "for Socialism," she acknowledges her party leader's central importance.

"People have been vastly inspired by Jeremy Corbyn, because of what he stands for."

You could tell watching the conference what a cult it has turned into, no one was wearing Labour merchandise anymore, it was just momentum and Corbyn T-shirt on everyone, they've become a left wing UKIP dedicated to one person.

I can't wait for these concerts, the crowd will be absolutely hilarious, I know someone who simply HAS to be on the bill as well.

They say he's unelectable.................

But we know better....

Yeah we know betterrrrrrrrrrrrr.... lol

Given a choice between the Tories and Corbyn's Labour, I think a lot of people would have the attitude of, Come back, Tony, all is forgiven.

If it wasn't for the Iraq war I think this would be a strong possibility.

We can laugh about this but I've actually seen some of his his supporters not only lauding it, but using it as evidence he can win an election.

Add Keir Starmer to  ChukkaUmanna and Dan Jarvis as potential General Election winners for the Labour, tremendous speaker, erudite and compelling listening to him, even on something I profoundly disagree with him on, fortunately I don't think he's left wing enough to be elected by the current membership though.

Was refreshing to see a Labour MP stand up there and look exceptional at what they were doing, makes a change from Thornberry and Abbott patronising and isming (made up word) at everything.
