Bazly Posted 30 July 2016 Posted 30 July 2016 There are some really strange betting odd currently out there for the upcoming Season: 1. Top of the pile Betway has Liverpool 4-1 for the title, wow that's all anyone can muster to that. Unquestionably the worst punt per odds ratio out there by a country mile, or a lunar mile or any stretch of the imagination. 2. Close second, Betfred has Spurs at 7-1 for the title. Best forget the 5-1 defeat at relegated Newcastle and the horrible England performance of the Spurs players. Looks like the bookies already have. Not a chance, too fragile. 3. TenBet has Chelsea in at 5-1 to lift the title. What was it? 31 points off the pace last season. Those odds are terrible for a tenth placed team to go on and then hit top spot. You could say regain top spot but its essentially the same old players just 2 years older. Defensively weak and offensively missing makes 5-1 abysmal odds. 4. TenBet as Arsenal at 11-2 to lift the title. The players are too busy pruning themselves for selfies to be Arsed. These odds are just unrelated to reality. 5. SkyBet has Everton at 100-1 to lift the title. Everton have better players than Liverpool. A really good manager and one of our own for the future. These do seem like generous odds. Leicester City odds on retaining the title have shortened to 20-1 offered by Totesport but you can get as high as 41-1 at Betfair. Those odds seem reasonable as we have only lost Kante so far, only?
gurru991 Posted 30 July 2016 Posted 30 July 2016 It's a decent bet at 40-1, think i'll put a tenner on that
Elsie Ephsey Posted 30 July 2016 Posted 30 July 2016 We finished the season as the best team in the country. Yes, a big player has been lost, but we've gained four, and one of them might - might - be in a similar league. The question "why aren't we favourites?" is therefore a reasonable one. Last season everyone was waiting for our collapse - it's now as if the fact that we didn't has been erased from people's minds, and they've fallen back into the trap of thinking we're "just Leicester City". Other teams might improve, but it's a big if. Kante aside, the biggest question mark against us is whether the motivation is still there. Early signs are that it is. Just my opinion, but I think our price is massive.

SystonFox Posted 31 July 2016 Posted 31 July 2016 Every tom dick an Harry will be whacking £50 on the likes of Swansea and Southampton thinking they'll "do a LEICESTER" Leicester will do a Leicester and retain the title. championees championees ole ole ole
4everfox Posted 1 August 2016 Posted 1 August 2016 Similar to us last season, Chelsea have no European football to distract or tire them. They also have a very good manager and a squad capable of winning the league. I'd make them favourites to be honest.
CosbehFox Posted 1 August 2016 Posted 1 August 2016 A lot of money apparently going us to finish lower half. Particularly given Sunday's result. Interested to see where the Racing Post positions us tomorrow morning

We've guaranteed them massive profit next season.

But it won't happen again for a generation or so, it will happen at some time, I doubt any team is 5000/1, haven't looked, if they are let me know, I've a quid doing nothing. We will win some silverware, no idea which but I'm sure we will get one. Winning mentality is hard to stop, especially one that's just got you the league title over a 38 game season. No one can laugh at us and say you can't, as we have proved everyone wrong.
