Guest Bilo Posted 13 August 2016 Posted 13 August 2016 Amartey looks a decent option Gray looks a rough diamond who will improve Okazaki looks well and truly up for the challenge We don't have to live in Hull Hernandez looks a tidy defender Errm, that's about it.
Durnerz Posted 13 August 2016 Posted 13 August 2016 Big opportunity for Amartey to nail down that middle spot alongside Drinky, same goes for Mendy. King isn't that man on todays evidence.

Amartey will only get better with more experience, I think he looks better every time he plays. Thats how I see it.. NOT SURE YET, but it could mean we drop a wingback Gray or albrighton, and have.. ...............Armatey........... Mahrez..Drinkwater...Mendy ..........Vardy....Musa......
FoxinNotts Posted 13 August 2016 Posted 13 August 2016 - We didn't deserve to lose (a draw would've been about right). - We created chances. - Musa clearly can set Vardy up, and did so twice. - Drinky still runs games. - Vardy was angry with himself, so he cares. - Despite reports, Mahrez did celebrate his goal in a perfectly fine manner. - Wes looked pissed off in his interview, so he cares. - it may be a needed kick up the Arse(nel)
Max Power Posted 14 August 2016 Posted 14 August 2016 Thought Musa was the only real positive tbh. Our best player by a mile. Looked fitter and sharper than most as well
TMELcfc Posted 14 August 2016 Posted 14 August 2016 It's hard to take positives because it was Hull... but it was on the cards. Drinkwater wasnt great, Hernandez has had loads of stick even though he actually cut out a lot of through balls, but of course we have to write people off after one game. Musa will be awesome once he's used to the style and players around him. But the one thing that stands out for me having thought about it a bit more... Preseason. Last year it was planned, players get 45 mins, then 60 mins, then full 90mins, similar team picked every game. This year it's been all over the place with players being treated like movie stars. Been more travelling and interviews than there has football. Plus the teams we've played have been giants who've given us a malling! They looked leggy to me and I'm. It surprised. The only positive is the next three fixtures will get some biggies out the way early on ...
st albans fox Posted 14 August 2016 Posted 14 August 2016 I hope our poor pre season from a prep perspective doesn't come back to bite us on our arse at the back end of the campaign. We will need a deep squad in that case. hopefully this experience will mean the sports science team are listened to above the commercial team next summer. Let's face it, we are v unlikely to be invited to the ICC again! We will make a big fat profit this year - we don't need to be earning a few extra million galavanting off to LA!

Was just as guilty of giving up possession as anyone else (bar Mahrez, who was giving it away more than the rest of them). Quite a lot of aimless balls pumped up to nobody. We were poor across the park today. Only player I thought left the pitch with any credit was Okazaki who looked incredibly sharp and up for it. Don't know whether I should believe your reliable observation or WhoScored stats. In fact, WhoScored rates Mahrez as second after Fuchs in this game !!! But I take it you have done a better statistical evaluation than WhoScored.

Mahrez was poor and i'm sure he's more upset than anyone about his game yesterday.
dedlock Posted 14 August 2016 Posted 14 August 2016 DD was frustrated at times and struggled to find a pass.Hull defended deep and in numbers to frustrate our counter attacking game. How different would it have been had we opened the scoring? We had a few chances before Hull's first. Although Vardy was denied space,he was generally off the pace and missed a couple he would have put away last season.

But I still take the good old FT posters approach
ozleicester Posted 14 August 2016 Posted 14 August 2016 The Shinji doubters must be questioning their thoughts at the moment?
