Corky Posted 17 September 2016 Posted 17 September 2016 They do clap us, especially at home, but frankly I'd rather they put the effort in on the pitch as they have done sterlingly for the past 18 months in particular.

The disconnect is just something that happens in modern football, many don't live or socialise in local communities like many players used to. ... the proverbial 'nail on the head' ... as I also attend quite a few lower league and non-league games throughout a season it is noticeable that at some 'smaller' (hate even using that expression, so damn demeaning!) you do still get the closer; dare I say it, more intimate interaction with the players.
Aus Fox Posted 18 September 2016 Posted 18 September 2016 How do you think I feel, week in week out up until the early hours of the morning. Has Vardy ever gone on Twitter and thanked Aus Fox for staying up all night, getting in trouble with the Mrs for celebrating another win and chanting Vardys on fire at 2 am. wasnt my fault she dashed out of bed, think I was shouting the house is on fire. So next time Vardy appreciate me for what I do for this club!!

Karljohn Posted 18 September 2016 Posted 18 September 2016 Marketing department tells the players to mention the fans! Seriously though, if you expect players to care your investing your cash in the wrong hobby. Players like Wasyl probably care about fans. Last year I saw Schwarzer blank loads of kids for autographs before walking to the players entrance flanked by a security guard!
foxy boxing Posted 19 September 2016 Posted 19 September 2016 I am sure the players appreciate us just fine and know that they get terrific support at every match and do a lot of charity work which gets unnoticed by the fans because it is not in the spotlight.
